Order Decision Inquiry held on 28 August 2019 Site visit on 28 August 2019 by Paul Freer BA(Hons) LLM PhD MRTPI an Inspector appointed by the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs Decision date: 25 September 2019 Order Ref: ROW/3211944 • This Order is made under Section 53(2)(a) of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981. It is known as the Restricted Byway No 15.50/24 Billy Lane, Great Timble Modification Order 2010. • The Order is dated 2 February 2010. It proposes to modify the definitive map and statement for the area by adding a Restricted Byway linking Back Lane with Main Street as shown on the Order map and described in the Order schedule. • There were thirteen objections outstanding at the commencement of the Inquiry. There were also four representations in support of the Order outstanding at that time. Summary of Decision: The Order is confirmed. Background to the Order 1. The application was submitted by Washburn Parish Council on 18 August 2005 and initially sought the addition of the Order route as a byway open to all traffic (BOAT). The application was submitted after the deadline for such applications of 20 January 2005 established by the Natural Environment and Rural Communities Act 2006 (2006 Act). Accordingly, North Yorkshire County Council, as the Order-Making Authority (OMA), determined to record the Order route as a restricted byway. 2. The effect of section 67(1) of the 2006 Act is to extinguish public rights of way for mechanically propelled vehicles unless certain defined exceptions apply. -

INFORMATION PRESSE Boulogne, le 1 er novembre 2012 GUIDE MICHELIN EATING OUT IN PUBS 2013 L’édition 2013 du guide MICHELIN Eating Out in Pubs sera disponible en librairie et en ligne dès le vendredi 2 novembre au prix de 13,99 livres (16,99 euros en Irlande). Cette année, le guide recense plus de 550 pubs, dont 81 nouveaux établissements, situés dans tout le Royaume-Uni, depuis Kylesku en Écosse jusqu'à Perranuthnoe et Southwolt en Angleterre en passant par Cahersiveen en Irlande. Sous la direction de Michael Ellis, Directeur du guide MICHELIN, cette sélection montre que la qualité de la cuisine proposée dans les pubs ne cesse de s’améliorer, et que de plus en plus d'établissements choisissent de servir en priorité des produits régionaux. De nombreux pubs parviennent à relever le défi du rapport qualité-prix : « Les chefs n'hésitent plus à utiliser des pièces moins nobles afin de composer des menus à des prix plus abordables, notamment pour le déjeuner, souligne la rédactrice en chef du guide Rebecca Burr. Ils se montrent aussi plus souples que par le passé et acceptent plus facilement d'échanger les menus du bar et du restaurant. Certains établissements commencent même à proposer des petits-déjeuners, des brunchs et des pauses goûter l’après-midi.» Preuve de l’amélioration permanente de la qualité, deux nouveaux pubs se voient attribuer des étoiles MICHELIN cette année : le Hinds Head de Heston Blumenthal à Bray et le Red Lion Freehouse dirigé par Guy et Britt Manning, à East Chisenbury. Full days: 15-24 km per day, 3½-6½ hours walking Using shortening options: 10-15km per day, 2¼-4½ hours walking using ride-with-luggage transfers at the start of each day Max. Grade: This route, our third in England and our first in the north of the country, seeks to show walkers the two sides of Yorkshire’s rural heritage, and was designed by local residents and On Foot clients Shaun and Lynda Callaghan. Starting in the eastern lowlands, in the little cathedral “city” of Ripon, the first day takes you straight to one of the most important centres of medieval England, Fountains Abbey, which owned vast tracts of the county before Henry VIII decided that he would prefer them for himself and his barons. The setting of the Abbey is without parallel. The route then starts to climb, gradually at first, through the sheep country of the Dales (sheep were as important in medieval times as they became in the 18th century when they were the basis for Yorkshire’s industrial growth). Linking the pretty villages of Pateley Bridge, Burnsall, Hebden, Grassington and Kettlewell, your route reaches limestone country via justly famous Malham “Cove”, before traversing the market town of Settle to your destination, Austwick village, nestling in the dale below the gaunt massif of Ingleborough, one of Yorkshire’s “three peaks”, and your final challenge. -
