Moray has had a few reports from the USA but he is hoping for more to go into the US Section in December, so please get your reports in! Subscriptions are coming in at a steady pace - but please try and get them in before the Christmas break as I have a lot to do at the end of December/beginning of January and coping with hundreds of subcsriptions makes life more difficult for me. Can I remind all readers who take the PDF versions of MAR (and also @MAR) that the 2013 issues will be removed from the website by the middle of January in order for the first 2014 issues to be uploaded. So please get your issues downloaded to your PC and saved - we DO NOT supply issues after that date if you have failed to save them in time. On a similar thread, I would suggest that you back up your PDF copies somewhere safe in case you have a hard drive failure - the alternative is to pay for a CD for the years you have lost (like a paper issue of MAR - if you lose it or ruin it you have to buy a new paper copy, so the same applies to a PDF issue (or issues). COVER PHOTOGRAPH: Specially marked JASDF F-15J 42-8832 of 203 Hikotai at Senkyo 2013 at JASDF Hyakuri on September 30th - fin markings include squadron number and exercise name (Masanori Ogawa)) Closing date for the December issue is 08.12.13 Brian Pickering 14.11.13 584 BRITISH REVIEW It has been announced by the Prime Minister’s Office that the Annual Summit of NATO is due to take place at Newport’s Celtic Manor next year. This would mean the visiting aircraft should be using Cardiff Airport, with the President of the USA, President of France and Chancellor of Germany due to attend. A few Squadron changes have come to light this month, they are: - 8 Flight based at Credenhill was reformed to 658 Squadron on 01.09.2013 operating the AS.365N3 and Gazelle aircraft. 652 Sqn, previously at 1 Regiment, Gutersloh have reformed at Yeovilton to operate the Wildcat AH.1. 848 Naval Air Squadron will disband on 19.12.2013 at Yeovilton. A special celebration took place on 04th October 2013 for 1 Regiment at the Princess Royal Barracks, Gutersloh, this was to mark the end of AAC flying in Germany and then the last three 1 Regiment Lynx AH.7s departed back to the United Kingdom. Finally, due to ongoing issues with my Gmail account, some sections are not as comprehensive as I wanted to make them, so hopefully I will be able to catch up with the movements....Mick Boulanger (Military movements is history, now and for our future) AKROTIRI, CYPRUS -
