ROTARY INTERNATIONAL DISTRICT 2080 YOUTH EXCHANGE PROGRAMME ROME, LAZIO CITIES AND THE SEA 2016 Rotary Club Guidonia Montecelio invite young people to the beautiful cities near Rome for an International Cultural Camp 14th July to 24th July 2016 Programme: Culture, history, heritage, sea and fun in, around and beyond Rome. Participants: 8 students One Girl or One Boy ONLY per country accepted Age 18 to 22 at the time of the camp Language English Accommodation Host Families. Camp Fee €200 Euro. Acceptance & Payment Students will be accepted provisionally on receipt of a scanned application form on a first come first served basis, allowing for gender balancing. Payment then secures the place and the students will be given details of the preferred method of payment once they have been accepted provisionally. Cancellation: In the case of accepted students withdrawing up to 31th May 2016, the fee will be refunded in full. After this date there will be no refund. We therefore recommend that the participants get special cancellation insurance. Additional Costs: Participants are responsible for their return fare to Rome and should bring a reasonable amount of pocket money. Insurance: All participants are responsible for insuring themselves according to the guidelines in Rotary International Code of Policies on Travel insurance for Students, which covers illness, accident, third party damages and personal effects. Details will be sent to successful applicants with their Joining instructions in May. European participants should bring their European Health Insurance Card. Clothes: Casual clothes. This paper frames industrial policy settings dating back to the second half of the 20th Century in the light of current processes and institutional efforts to set a new season for Industry in Lazio Region. Subsequently, relying upon demographic and socio-economic dynamics over the last two decades, new features in settlement patterns and sector-specific obstacles to sustainable development are addressed with a major focus on the Metropolitan area of Rome (the former Province of Rome). In conclusion, some remarks are drawn mindful of the new globalization wave affecting ‘supply chains’ of goods and business services from all over the world, of current trends and innovative approaches liable to envisage ‘territory’ as an opportunity rather than a cost. Difficulties in making different opinions to converge are evident. The proper ground to make it happen should be prepared by a governance able to support place-based inherent ‘entrepreunerial discovery processes’, while providing negotiating practices framed by general and sectoral policies, and communication approaches to ensure transparency and participation of public at large.
