Mike Clay's 2020 NFL Projection Guide Updated: 9/10/2020 Glossary: Page 2-33: Team Projections Page 34-44: QB, RB, WR and TE projections Page 45-48: Category Leader projections Page 49: Projected standings, playoff teams and 2021 draft order Page 50: Projected Strength of Schedule Page 51: Unit Grades Page 52-61: Positional Unit Ranks Understanding the graphics: *The numbers shown are projections for the 2020 NFL regular season (Weeks 1-17). *Some columns may not seem to be adding up correctly, but this is simply a product of rounding. The totals you see are correct. *Looking for sortable projections by position or category? Check out the projections tab inside the ESPN Fantasy game. *'Team stat rankings' is where each team is projected to finish in the category that is shown. *'Unit Grades' is not related to fantasy football and is an objective ranking of each team at 10 key positions. The overall grades are weighted based on positional importance. The scale is 4.0 (best) to 0.1 (worst). A full rundown of Unit Grades can be found on page 51. *'Strength of Schedule Ranking' is based on 2020 rosters (not 2019 team record). '1' is easiest and '32' hardest. See the full list on page 50. *Note that prior to the official release of the NFL schedule (generally late April/early May), the schedule shown includes the correct opponents, but the order is random *Have a question? • Head Coach Jay Gruden
July 28, 2019 Head Coach Jay Gruden On T Trent Williams: "…" On LT Donald Penn: "No, he’s not here right now. No update." On the day off of training camp tomorrow: "Yeah, it’s been a great four days. We’ve got to both of our installs, both offensively and defensively, and special teams, so having the day off is good. We’ll come back on Tuesday, have a nice review of some of the things we’ve hit on, and be able to add some more on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday. I think it’s been a pretty successful start so far as implementing what we want to implement and getting a look at some guys." On the status of LB Reuben Foster's injury: "Yeah, he had a successful surgery. He’s wearing something for his foot a little bit, but he’s walking around great, great energy. He’s helping out in drills here and there, sitting in meetings. He’s still a big part of this football team. He’s just going to have to rehab, and it’s going to be a long road for him, but he’s the type of guy that will put the work in." On the benefit of a satellite training camp in Richmond: "None, really. It’s just practice and meetings no matter where you do it— on a parking lot, on a field, in Richmond, back home, in California— wherever you want to do it. You still have to go through training camp and really hone in on football.

PRO FOOTBALL HALL OF FAME TEACHER ACTIVITY GUIDE 2019-2020 EDITIOn WASHInGTOn REDSKInS Team History With three Super Bowl championships, the Washington Redskins are one of the NFL’s most dominant teams of the past quarter century. But the organization’s glorious past dates back almost 60 years and includes five world championships overall and some of the most innovative people and ideas the game has ever known. From George Preston Marshall to Jack Kent Cooke, from Vince Lombardi to Joe Gibbs, from Sammy Baugh to John Riggins, plus the NFL’s first fight song, marching band and radio network, the Redskins can be proud of an impressive professional football legacy. George Preston Marshall was awarded the inactive Boston franchise in July 1932. He originally named the team “Braves” because it used Braves Field, home of the National League baseball team. When the team moved to Fenway Park in July 1933, the name was changed to Redskins. A bizarre situation occurred in 1936, when the Redskins won the NFL Eastern division championship but Marshall, unhappy with the fan support in Boston, moved the championship game against Green Bay to the Polo Grounds in New York. Their home field advantage taken away by their owner, the Redskins lost. Not surprisingly, the Redskins moved to Washington, D.C., for the 1937 season. Games were played in Griffith Stadium with the opener on September 16, 1937, being played under flood lights. That year,Marshall created an official marching band and fight song, both firsts in the National Football League. That season also saw the debut of “Slinging Sammy” Baugh, a quarterback from Texas Christian who literally changed the offensive posture of pro football with his forward passing in his 16-season career.
