The new National Public Holiday Plan (Plan) adds three traditional festivals - Tomb-Sweeping Day, Dragon-boat Festival, and Mid Autumn Festival - to the list of public holidays in China. National Holidays in China (Effective January 1, 2008) The Spring Festival remains a three-day ⇒ New Year Holiday (1 day) public holiday, but will start one day ⇒ Spring Festival (3 days) earlier from the eve of the Lunar New ⇒ Tomb-Sweeping Day (1 day) Year.
