The RI theme, , is a call to share Rotary with others through service and recruiting new members, which will be my Secretary Douglas R. Potter major themes in the coming year. Assistant Secretary Wilfrid Wilkinson, 2007-08 RI President, is a member of the Rotary Club of Lauren Blew Trenton, Ontario, Canada. He sees the concept of sharing as a motivating Treasurer force behind Rotary work. “In Rotary, sharing doesn’t mean giving away Richard Marchese what you have to spare, what you don’t need for yourself,” he explained. Assistant Treasurer “Sharing means giving of yourself, selflessly, for the good of others.” William D. Sheldon, III Sergeant at Arms In a time of dwindling participation in service organizations worldwide, we Lloyd F. Bean, II must renew our commitment to membership expansion. As Wilkinson states, Asst. Sergeant at Arms "It’s not always an easy thing to invite someone into Rotary. Too often, we Christine Tilley hear no. And no one likes to hear no. It’s easy to get discouraged. But you Immediate Past Presidents have to expect those no’s, and know when to ask again — and when to move C. Turner, C.Chapin, W. Hessel, P. Schwarz on to find a yes somewhere else.” Bulletin Editor Sherri Wood Equally important to Rotary’s future, is our continued attention to programs for youth. Through our Interact and Youth Exchange programs we touch Directors 2007-2009 Robert A. Penty the lives of these students and of those around them who see the good things Peter D. Schwarz that Rotary accomplishes through these students. I also hope to renew our Sherri Wood ties with Camp Haccamo and the other programs we support for the Directors 2006-2008 Ronald L. Brand disabled children of Monroe County. Allen T. Hawn Jaye Massecar Finally, I hope to enable each and every Brighton Rotarian to accomplish what he/she joined Rotary for.
