▪ Vision: Following the trend toward cloud applications, SAP Process Orchestration strives to bridge the gap between on-premise enterprise systems and services in the cloud to save the costs of data and message transfer within hybrid landscapes. ▪ There is continuous investment in leveraging SAP Cloud Platform Integration innovations as a basis for supporting hybrid integration. ▪ There is continuous investment in SAP Process Orchestration core capabilities and platform support for safeguarding our customer base’s core integration scenarios.

To increase long-term predictability and planning security for our customer base, SAP has recently extended the mainstream maintenance for SAP NetWeaver 7.5 until 2024 ▪ See SAP Note 1648480 ▪ This is based on an alignment with our platform partners (IBM, Oracle, Microsoft) confirming the availability of DB drivers for SAP NetWeaver 7.5 until end of 2024 ▪ Once mainstream maintenance for SAP Process Orchestration has ended, extended maintenance will not be offered, however customers have the option to go for customer-specific maintenance, see SAP note 52505

Furthermore, SAP plans to provide a Process Integration release beyond version 7.5 based on new Java and Eclipse versions ▪ Once released, new feature development will primarily go into the new code line ▪ However, the shipment of further Support Packages (SP) in the 7.5 code line are planned as long as end of mainstream maintenance has not been reached. The SPs in 7.5 will mainly contain corrections, in exceptional cases SAP may down port new features if applicable
