The Invictus Games Orlando 2016 presented by Jaguar Land Rover will bring together more than 500 compe<tors from 15 na<ons to compete in 10 sports: archery, cycling, indoor rowing, sing volleyball, swimming, track and field, powerliding, wheelchair basketball, wheelchair rugby, and wheelchair tennis. The 2014 Invictus Games, which were held in London, saw crowds of 65,000 cheer on over 400 compe<tors, as millions more tuned in to witness their achievements on television. With the Orlando Games in 2016, the Invictus spirit will con<nue to spread interna<onally. Ken Fisher, the Chairman and CEO of the Invictus Games Orlando 2016 said: "The power of sport aids the recovery and rehabilita<on of our wounded military heroes. We want to give them the best United States’ welcome we can.” Sir Peter John WestmacoW (KCMG LVO), the Bri<sh Ambassador to the United States, shared a quote from U.S. Air Force Technical Sergeant Israel Del Toro, “When your life changes as drama<cally as mine, there’s a chance you might give up. I never let that happen to me and I never will. Everyone knows if you quit before you start, you’re done. I will never let the guy who set that bomb get the sa<sfac<on that they ruined my life.” TSgt. Del Toro was severely injured in Afghanistan in 2005. In 2010, he became the first 100 percent disabled airman to re-enlist in the Air Force. He competed for the United States on the Special Opera<ons Command team at the London Games in 2014. The Orlando Games will give our wounded, ill and injured men and women the opportunity to demonstrate to the world this undefeatable drive to overcome. This driving spirit is the embodiment of everything the Invictus Games stand for: these heroes have been tested, but they are not defeated. Her love of music grew as she joined choral groups, performed with Welsh Male Voice Choirs and participated in Eisteddfods and other musical events. As a 23 year-old school teacher, she burst onto the music scene when she performed at Westminster Cathedral in honor of Pope John Paul’s UU Silver Jubilee in 2003. Since then, she has released 10 studio albums and currently in the studio recording her 11th.     LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION congratulating Staff Sergeant Zachary Burnash upon the occasion of capturing a Gold Medal in the 400-Meter track event at the 2016 Invictus Games WHEREAS, Athletic competition enhances the moral and physical develop- ment of the young people of this State, preparing them for the future by instilling in them the value of hard work, encouraging a standard of healthy living, imparting a desire for success and developing a sense of fair play and competition; and WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to honor those exceptional military personnel who distinguish themselves and their community through both their courageous service and outstanding athletic performance; and WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long- standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to congratu- late Staff Sergeant Zachary Burnash upon the occasion of capturing a Gold Medal in the 400-Meter track event at the 2016 Invictus Games held from May 8-12, 2016, in Orlando, Florida; and WHEREAS, The Invictus Games is an international Paralympic-style, multi-sport event created by Prince Harry to host wounded, injured, or sick military personnel; it features 10 sporting events with athletes from 15 participating nations; and WHEREAS, During the 2016 Invictus Games, Staff Sergeant Zachary Burnash won a Gold Medal in the 400-Meter track event; he also came in fourth in the 1,500-Meters; and WHEREAS, A native of Schenectady, New York, Zachary Burnash is the son of Thomas and Carolyn Burnash and a graduate of Schenectady High School; and WHEREAS, Staff Sergeant Zachary Burnash has proudly served his country as a member of the United States Air Force in both Iraq and Afghanistan; during this time he was awarded a Purple Heart, Air Force Commendation Medal and the Captain Lance P.

    INTRODUCTION Transitioning from the Kissimmee-St. Cloud Convention & Visitors Bureau, Experience Kissimmee began operating as a public/private, not-for-profit organization at the beginning of the 2015 fiscal year to market the area to travelers from around the world.
