There are no fees either for inscription or participation in all Events, in Greece and abroad. Our philosophy is based on the “Positive Side of Life”, as well as in the “Power of Friendship” that can change through Art the World peacefully. For the last 30 years, the Centre of Arts 4 Seasons (CA4S) created various cultural Events like “Kavafa”, “Iaponia-Japan-Japon”, “Multispectacle 4 Seasons”, “Multispectacle Aristophanes Androgyne”, Philanthropic Art Exhibitions in Greece and abroad, published books and produced CDs, organized numerous Conferences, etc. In the year 2010 we realized our frst International Arts Festival AthensArt, in collaboration with the Cultural Organization “Technopolis” and under the auspices of the Ministry of Culture and the City of Athens, with the theme “The Positive side of Life” and “Friendship through Art can change the World”, and participation of 300 artists from 5 Continents and 65 countries of the World. During 2011 AthensArt has been present in Monterrey/Mexico with Prints for Peace, in London/UK to support victims of HIV in Tanzania and to assist children in Zambia, in Vienna/Austria with a philanthropic exhibition for the victims of Earthquake-Tsunami in Japan, in Piraeus/Greece in collaboration with UNESCO’s Association for Peace, in Rostov Region/Russia with our International Arts Festival and in Ubá/Brazil. In Greece, besides our Syntagma Square exhibition and participation in the Egyptian Cultural Week dedicated to Naguib Mahfouz in Athens, we started our AthensArt Odysseia in “Ambelonas” Corfu, making a second stop in the “House of Culture” of Rethymno/Crete. In 2012 we were present in the State Picture Gallery of Izmail/Ukraine and in the 2nd Egyptian Cultural Week in Athens, dedicated to the 10th Anniversary of Bibliotheca Alexandrina, in collaboration with the Embassy of Egypt. Our AthensArt Odysseia continued its journey in Greece in Naxos in the Former Ursuline School and in Corfu in the Patio of Corfu’s Psychiatric Hospital. In 2013 we have been in Gallery Apartment No 10 of Odessa/Ukraine and have postponed our invitation from Bibliotheca Alexandria/Egypt, due to political situation. In 2014 we have been in Bispgården/ Sweden, Vienna/Austria and Monterrey/Mexico and in 2015 in Oropos/Greece and Rostov on Don/Russia. In 2016 we were present with our AthensArt International Arts Festival in several cities of Colombia with many parallel Events in Bogotá, Pereira, Manizales and Chia. The year 2017 was dedicated, by the Greek Ministry of Culture, to the well known Greek writer, poet and philosopher Nikos Kazantzakis, and we organized an International Exhibition in Meropeion Philanthropic Foundation, under Acropolis/Athens, in collaboration with Unesco Piraeus & Islands, which was carried over in Stathopouleio Cultural Centre, in collaboration with Vyronas Municipality. Our ofcial invitation from Bibliotheca Alexandrina of Alexandria/Egypt, remains open. Due to pandemic, our Events for 2020 in New Jersey/USA, in Ascoli Pisceno / Italy, in Athens,/Greece, in the Municipality of Vironas, Athens, / Greece and the island of Sifnos /Greece, had to be postponed. However, trying to fnd other solutions to be connected, we created a 3D online Gallery that we plan to use for all our Events. Moreover, a large part of Humanity remains completely indifferent, in matters of Ethical, Spiritual and Essential Human Communication… Knowing that without Emotionally Healthy People it is impossible to build a Healthy Peaceful and Democratic Society, the question that needs immediate answer is what measures should we take, especially in the field of Mental Health, Education and Culture, to prevent the worst… In 2020, in Centre of Arts 4 Seasons - AthensArt, we continued to share our clothes, books, artworks, olives, olive oil, honey, eggs and various agricultural products, from our Centre, to refugees, unemployed, homeless and poor, collaborating with the Social Kitchen “The Other Human” and the Church of St.

Economou-Eliopoulos*, D. Antivachi, Ch. Vasilatos, I. Megremi Department of Geology & Geoenvironment, Section of Economic Geology & Geochemistry, University of Athens, Panepistimiopolis, Athens 15784, Greece Received 7 June 2011; accepted 30 November 2011 Available online 27 December 2011 KEYWORDS Abstract An integrated approach was performed on the soil, plant-crops and groundwater system at the Cr(VI); Thiva basin, to evaluate the extent and intensity of the heavy metal contamination, the percentage of Contamination; metals transferred into plants/crops (bio-accumulation) and the potential sources of contamination. Plants; Heavy metal contents (230e310 Cr, 1200e2200 Ni, 50e80 Co, 880e1150 Mn and 44,500e66,200 Fe Groundwater; all in ppm ) in the Thiva soils are higher than those in the Assopos basin. An increasing trend in the heavy Bio-accumulation; metal contents, from the Assopos to the Thiva basin (Mouriki), indicates that the metal source is probably Thiva the Ni-laterites and ophiolites, located towards north. On the other hand, groundwater samples from domestic and irrigation wells throughout the Thiva basin exhibit relatively low (8e37 ppb) concentrations in Cr compared to the Assopos (up to 150 ppb). The plots of Cr versus Mg/Ca, Mg/Na versus Ca/Na, B versus Si/(Si þ Na) and Mg/Si versus Ca/Si ratios revealed a low degree of salinization in the Thiva compared to that in the Assopos (Avlida) basin.

Rocks and sediments are non-anthropogenic sources of elements contamination. In this study, a series of potentially toxic elements were quantified in rocks and sediments of the Oropos-Kalamos basin. Only As, Hg, Pb, and Sb contents, in all the examined rocks and sediments, were higher than the levels given in international literature. Concentration of the elements As, Cr, Hg, Mo, Ni, and U is highly elevated in the lignite compared to crustal element averages. The enrichment of Cr and Ni in the lignite can be attributed to the known ultramafic rock masses surrounding the basin, while enrichment of As, Hg, Mo, Sb, and U is associated with the past geothermal activity of the Upper Miocene (about 15 million years ago).
