MycoKeys 34: 25–34. https://doi.org/10.3897/mycokeys.34.23836 Abstract Architrypethelium murisporum Luangsuphabool, Lumbsch & Sangvichien is described for a crustose lichen occurring in dry evergreen forest in Thailand. It is characterised by a green to yellow-green corticated thal- lus, perithecia fused in black pseudostromata with white rim surrounding the ostiole and small, hyaline and muriform ascospores. Currently, all species in the genus Architrypethelium have transversely septate ascospores, hence the discovery of this new species indicates that ascospore septation is variable within the genus, similar to numerous other groups of lichen-forming ascomycetes. Phylogenetic analyses of two loci (mtSSU and nuLSU) supported the position of the new species within Architrypethelium. -

LETTER OF INTENT FOR LEASE OF COLD STORAGES AT CHAMPHAI AND VAIRENGTE, MIZORAM NLUP IMPLEMENTING BOARD : MIZORAM; AIZAWL ……… 1 TERMS OF REFERENCE (For Lease of Cold Storages) SECTION-I Introduction: Development of Horticulture Sector and its produces is an integral part of NLUP Project highlighted in the Detailed Project Report (DPR) which has been approved by the Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA) of the Government of India. Horticultural crops like Potato, Turmeric, Ginger, Squash, Passion fruit, Spices, M. Oranges, etc., are produced abundantly in the State every harvesting season. There is also a bright scope of market for these crops. The State Government through Agriculture Department and Horticulture Department, built up three Cold Storages at Champhai and Vairengte to preserve Horticultural Crops for further marketing. The State Government has now bestowed the responsibility of the Cold Storages to NLUP Implementing Board right from the implementation of the project till today. SECTION-II Methodology: NLUP Implementing Board, due to limited fund, lack of technical personnel and other infrastructural problems, decided to lease these Plants to capable Firm. According to this, the Firm selected to lease the Plants will debit an Annual Lease Fee to the Govt. of Mizoram during the last month of every financial year. For this, the Firm should know the context and their capacity to run the Cold Storages before making their bid. Specifically the job of the Firm, amongst others, would be as under: To collect harvest from the farmers in general and beneficiaries in particular. To motivate beneficiaries, farmers, etc and their level of confidence about the commitment of their Firm entrusted with lease programme. -

HODKINSON ABSTRACT. – A taxonomic scheme for lichens and allied fungi that synthesizes scientific knowledge from a variety of sources is presented. The system put forth here is intended both (1) to provide a skeletal outline of the lichens and allied fungi that can be used as a provisional filing and databasing scheme by lichen herbarium/data managers and (2) to announce the online presence of an official taxonomy that will define the scope of the newly formed International Committee for the Nomenclature of Lichens and Allied Fungi (ICNLAF). The online version of the taxonomy presented here will continue to evolve along with our understanding of the organisms. Additionally, the subfamily Fissurinoideae Rivas Plata, Lücking and Lumbsch is elevated to the rank of family as Fissurinaceae. KEYWORDS. – higher-level taxonomy, lichen-forming fungi, lichenized fungi, phylogeny INTRODUCTION Traditionally, lichen herbaria have been arranged alphabetically, a scheme that stands in stark contrast to the phylogenetic scheme used by nearly all vascular plant herbaria. The justification typically given for this practice is that lichen taxonomy is too unstable to establish a reasonable system of classification. However, recent leaps forward in our understanding of the higher-level classification of fungi, driven primarily by the NSF-funded Assembling the Fungal Tree of Life (AFToL) project (Lutzoni et al. 2004), have caused the taxonomy of lichen-forming and allied fungi to increase significantly in stability. Statehood: It attained statehood on February 20, 1987 following the 53rd Amendment of the Indian Constitution in 1986 Location: Mizoram, located in southern tip of northeastern region is bounded by Myanmar to the east and south, Bangladesh to the west, Tripura to the northwest, Assam to the north, and Manipur to the northeast. Evolution of its name: The ‘Land of Mizos’ was earlier known as the Lushai hills district of Assam before it was renamed as the Mizo hills District in 1954 and became union territory in 1972 and in achieved statehood on February 20, 1987 The name of the state is derived from “Mizo”, the self described name of the native inhabitants, and “Ram”, which in the Mizo language means “land.” Thus “Mizo-ram” means “land of the Mizos Demography: According to a 2011 census, in that year Mizoram’s population was 1,091,014. It is the 2nd least populous state in the country. Mizoram covers an area of approximately 21,087 square kilometres The sex ratio of the state is 976 females per thousand males, higher than the national ratio 940. The density of population is 52 persons per square kilometre. 152 SHORT NOTES Forktail 22 (2006) Notable bird records from Mizoram in north-east India ANWARUDDIN CHOUDHURY The state of Mizoram (21°58′–24°30′N 92°16′–93°25′E) northern Mizoram, in March 1986 (five days), February is located in the southern part of north-east India (Fig. 1). 1987 (seven days) and April 1988 (5 days) while based in Formerly referred to as the Lushai Hills of southern Assam, southern Assam. The entire state is hilly and Phawngpui National Park and the fringe of Khawnglung mountainous. The highest ranges are towards east with Wildlife Sanctuary. This included 61 km of foot transect the peaks of Phawngpui (2,157 m; the highest point in along paths and streams, 2.5 km of boat transects along Mizoram) and Lengteng (2,141 m). The lowest elevation, the Ngengpui River and Palak Dil, and 1,847 km of road <100 m, is in the riverbeds near the borders with Assam transects. During 15–22 February 2001, I visited parts of and Bangladesh border. The climate is tropical monsoon- type with a hot wet summer and a cool dry winter. Table 1.
