The vacant WBC International 200 Lbs title will be contested between Taylor Makiba (Gabon) and Ilunga Makabu (Congo). The show will be promoted by Mr. Mukadi Manda of Linaboxe. WBC International Championships - The 2018 season up to August 6th WBC International SuperFeather-weight vacant Championship Place: Ekaterinburg, Russia Date: 19thAugust 2018 by German Titov Muhammadkhuja Yaqubov (WBC #37 from Tajikistan) Alejandro Zuñiga Rodriguez (17-1-0, 9 México – aged 20) *The Committee is happy to announce that the vacant WBC International Heavyweight Championship will be staged in Croatia (Zagreb Arena) by Mr. Sauerland next September 8th. Local boxing star Filip Hrgovic will face TBA. More to come* WBC International Super Middleweight Championship by Ahmet Öner September 15th in Lüdwigshafen, Germany Avni YILDIRIM to defend his belt against Lolenga Mock (WBC #14) German promoter Ulf Steinforth applied for the vacant WBC International 175 Lbs Silver Championship. Ulf is ready to stage a good fight between rated Adam Deines and Mustafa Chadlioui. The Championship would take place in Magdeburg next September 15th. More to come. WBC International Championships - The 2018 season up to August 6th *The Committee is also considering the possibility of staging the vacant WBC International Flyweight Silver championship in the wonderful city of Palangka Raya, island of Borneo, Central Kalimantan. Further information will be provided as soon as Indonesian promoter Armin Tan confirms the date of the fight. Local fighter Hamson Lamandau would fight TBA. More to come. WBC International 126 Lbs Silver champion Aram Avagyan (Armenia) could make a voluntary defence in Moscow next 21st September against Evgeny Smirnov. The fight would be promoted by Puch Boxing Promotions of Aram Davtyan. That was for the 2018 Centenary of Nelson Mandela, a two-year program to honour its founder. The vacant title was contested between South African champion Yanga Sigqipo (WBC #34) and Philippines’ René Dacquel (WBC #15). Yanga Sigqibo beat Rene Dacquel on points (split decision 12). It was a bit controversial and the Committee is now trying to see if there are good elements to call for a rematch. ABSTRACT This thesis will explore the role race plays in conceptions and performances of British identity by using clothes as a source. It will use the relationship between the body and clothes to argue that cultural understandings of race are part of the basis for meaningful communication in dress. It offers a new understanding of identity formation in Britain and explains the complex relationship between working-class youth-subcultures and Post-War Immigration. The thesis consists of three case studies of the clothes worn by different groups in British society between the period 1965 and 1972: firstly a study of Afro-Caribbean migrants to the UK, secondly the South Asian Diaspora in the UK, and finally the Skinhead youth-subculture.
