Wonders of the World Research Project Grade 6 Seventh grade social studies is very interesting and diverse. Towards the end of the year you will be researching one of the wonders of the world and creating a project based on this. To prepare you, we’ll be doing a research project somewhat similar. You will be researching a specific wonder of the world. Your research will include the following: Information on the following o Where is it located o Why is it a wonder? o What kind of wonder (natural, modern, ancient, etc) o How long has it been there o How did it get there (how did it form, who built it, etc) o What is its function o Any other information you find interesting or important about your country You will be including all of this information on a Glogster poster. You will also need to CITE YOUR SOURCES. We will do this using a web site called “Son of Citation Machine” and we will use the MLA format. http://citationmachine.net/ You will present your Glogster on the large screen to the rest of the class. At that time you will also need to hand in a typed bibliography that cites your sources. 1. Select your wonder of the world. How will you be graded? Your Glogster needs to be completed. All of the items listed above need to be included on the Glogster as well as photos. Additional items that CAN be included but aren’t necessary are videos and sound clips. In addition to your Glogster you need to hand in a typed Word Document listing all your sources. This part of the project will be worked on while you are researching. We will cite our sources using the MLA format, using Citation Machine to help generate our bibliography.
