Dr. Dale Manor, professor emeritus of archaeology and Bible, earned his Ph.D. from the Uni- versity of Arizona and previous degrees from Freed-Hardeman and Pepperdine. Before com- ing to Harding in 1996, Manor served as a minister for more than 25 years. His archaeology experience spans 26 seasons and a staff position on the Tel Beth-Shemesh excavations in Israel, including 33 trips to Israel and one year as Kress Fellow at Jerusalem’s Albright Institute of Ar- chaeological Research. Manor has authored and/or edited three books and has published more than 110 articles. He is the administrator and curator of Harding’s Linda Byrd Smith Museum of Biblical Archaeology. He and his wife of more than 50 years, Sharon, have two children and six grandchildren. ANN BROWN, PH.D. Dr. Priscilla (Ann) Brown has served as an associate professor of English and director of the McNair Scholars Program since her return to Harding in 2017. She holds a Ph.D. in literatures in English from Howard University and a Master of Science in Education from Harding. Her more than 30 years as a professional educator include five years teaching in Arkansas public schools, 12 years at a private school in Washington, D.C., and nearly seven years teaching in a variety of educational settings in the United Arab Emirates. Committed to empowering women and trauma survivors, Brown is active with the Sensible Women Initiative and is a certified Emotional Freedom Techniques coach/practitioner. JOHN HENDERSON, M.D. Dr. John Henderson grew up in Memphis, Tennessee, graduated from University of Memphis, and went on to receive his M.D. at University of Tennessee. After completing fellowships in internal medicine and cardiology, he spent two years in the Army and one year on faculty at Medical College of Georgia before moving to Searcy as the city’s first cardiologist in 1975. In 2010, he began working in Harding’s physician assistant program while serving as the director of quality at Unity Health. Four years later, he became the chief medical officer at Unity and now works part time in Unity’s residency program. He and his wife of 27 years, Anita, have six children, 24 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. CLIFF GANUS III, D.M.A. Dr. Cliff Ganus III began teaching at Harding in 1968 on a one-year appointment as instructor in music. He retired in May 2020 as a Distinguished Professor of Music and former chair of the department. A lifetime member of the American Choral Directors Association, he served as regional committee chair, newsletter editor and president of the Arkansas chapter. He also was journal editor and president of the Arkansas Music Educators Association. For 20 years he directed the Belles and Beaux, guiding them on two overseas tours. He led the award-winning Chorus on 20 international tours through 37 countries. Ganus completed his undergraduate work at Harding and received an M.M.E. from North Texas State University and a D.M.A. from the University of Colorado. He and his wife, Dr. Debbie Ganus, have four children. KEN CAMERON, PH.D. Dr. Ken Cameron, professor emeritus of behavioral sciences, grew up in Shreveport, Louisiana, graduated from Harding with majors in Bible and psychology, and then received his Ph.D. in clinical psychology from the University of Arkansas. After serving as an intern with the Veterans Administration in Little Rock, he worked with Ozark Guidance Center in Springdale, Arkansas, for five years, then served as the chief of mental health services with Missouri Department of Corrections for six years. Before retiring two years ago, he taught psychology at Harding for 26 years. He and his wife, Julie, have four children and two grandchildren.
