Beth Gates, a parent of a second grader at Oxford Valley Elementary, said, “Summer library offers a room filled with books that are developmentally on target for young readers. The librarian not only knows the books, but knows the kids, their interests, and reading levels. As a sophomore, Ngakiya was selected by the high school administration to serve on the Principals’ Advisory Committee. In this capacity, Ngakiya helped in the development of the Pennsbury PEACE Challenge to foster a community of character and Pennsbury pride. GRETZULA, Ed.D. known as the Falconairs, a tutor and mentor for incoming freshman students at PHS, and she works with students with learning disabilities. Last year, Ngakiya was a recipient of the LYFT Pennsbury Character Award, the Martin Luther King, Jr. “Keeping the Peace” Award, a French Laureate Award, and she also earned an academic achievement award in choral music in 2015. To top things off, Ngakiya is trilingual! The Board established the position of Student Representative to provide a communication link between itself and the student body. Student Representatives are nominated by their teachers at Pennsbury High School.
