Advert for NBL1 Mens Head Coach 2020 NBL1 Men’s Head Coach Kilsyth Basketball was established in 1963 to promote and administrate basketball in the Kilsyth and surrounding mountain districts. Today Kilsyth Basketball is the largest Basketball Association in Australia, responsible for over 1,100 domestic Basketball teams with over 15,000 registered members playing the game of Basketball each week in its venues and competitions. Kilsyth Basketball is represented in the National Basketball League 1 (NBL1) by the Kilsyth Cobras. Kilsyth Basketball is seeking applications from interested and experienced persons for the NBL1 MENS HEAD COACH position with the Kilsyth Men Cobras. Applicants as a minimum, should hold a Level 2 (Association Coach) coaching accreditation or equivalent experience at elite level basketball and be willing to take ownership and responsible for the development of players within the Kilsyth Cobras Senior Men’s Program. The successful application will be responsible for: • The planning, development and performance of the NBL1 Kilsyth Men’s program; • Select players in accordance with team structure guidelines established by the Kilsyth Basketball Manager Basketball Operations; • Assist the Manager Basketball Operations and the Cobras Administrator with administrative details and arrangements for team activities, trips and promotions; • Working alongside the Victorian Youth Championship Head Men’s Coach, Junior Boys Coaches and the Manager Basketball Operations to help set an overall direction and pathway for Kilsyth Men’s program and support the development program for Kilsyth Junior players and Coaches. Desirable criteria Develop a Culture of Success with Shared Values • Establish a professional & disciplined culture for players, coaches and staff which reflect the associations Club’s core values. • Provide strong leadership to the playing and coaching groups that encourages a supportive team environment consistent with the association’s values. • Be available to attend all trials, squad/team trainings, practice games & NBL1 games • Have previous senior Head Coaching experience • Have a proven record of successfully leading a high performance program • Have a strong ability to plan and implement training & competition program • Have a demonstrated record in individual player development • Have effective Relationship Management skills which will enable you to: ▪ Develop and maintain positive working relationships with all players, coaching staff and office staff. ▪ Develop and maintain positive working relationship with CEO, MBO and Chairman. ▪ Develop and maintain positive working relationship with the Executive Management team of the association & Board. ▪ Develop and maintain positive working relationship with Basketball Victoria, NBL 1 officials, supporters, sponsors and other industry stakeholders • Be a positive role model on & off the basketball court • Have a strong understanding of the high performance environment • Have demonstrated personal resilience and strong work ethic • Have a willingness and loyalty in supporting High Performance Programs • Have a strong desire to learn and develop their coaching capabilities further and effectively mentor their assistant coaches & apprentice coaches • Ideally have a current ‘Association Coach’ (previously called Level 2) NCAS Accreditation • Coaches must have a current ‘Working With Children’ Registration Card The NBL1 Men’s Head Coach will report directly to the Kilsyth Manager Basketball Operations & CEO.     Ringwood Basketball Association 2020 Season Handbook Welcome Welcome to the Ringwood Hawks Representative Program, a program operated by the Ringwood Basketball Association (RBA). The RBA is a voluntary organisation that currently provides competitions for approximately 2,300 male and female basketballers of all ages in and around the City of Maroondah and is a member of Basketball Victoria (BV), the governing body for organizing basketball in the state. Home games are played at The Rings located on Canterbury Road in Ringwood opposite Cadbury (close to the Canterbury Road exit off Eastlink). The Stadium has four air conditioned courts, a function / meeting room and a canteen.
