Less than two days after Tropical Storm Beryl brought more than six inches of much-needed rain to Columbia County, local officials held a meeting to discuss the 2012 Atlantic Hurricane Season, which begins tomorrow. A hurricane preparedness meet- ing with local constitutional officers and elected officials took place 9 a.m. Wednesday at the Columbia County Emergency Operation Center.
