New Qosmio PX30t combines PC, TV, and Gaming in a stylish home entertainment hub

Neuss, Germany, 04 June 2013 – Today, fulfilling growing consumer demand for a slim desktop computer that serves as all-round entertainment hub, Toshiba Europe GmbH announced the Qosmio PX30t. This is Toshiba’s latest all-in-one PC, offering TV and central data storage functionalities. This all-purpose premium entertainment hub is an extremely stylish, slim 58.4cm (23") state-of-the-art LED TV. It offers a great user experience and technologies for Full HD entertainment, TV, gaming and PC functionality in one device. European sales of the new Qosmio PX30t will start in the third quarter of 2013.

The TV and PC world in a slim, stylish design The Qosmio PX30t can take pride of place in a family living room, a student house or on the shop floor. It sports the new unified Toshiba product design that is clearly recognisable from distinctive elements such as smooth rounded edges, a bold illuminated power button and a logo positioned to the left under the display. The Qosmio PX30t comes in glossy black or luxe white pearl with silver-look accents and its Press Release sophisticated aluminium silver stand enhances its TV functionality. The slimness of the screen and the thin bezel gives this all-in-one the look of a state-of-the-art LED TV. The Qosmio PX30t ships with a premium keyboard and a mouse with Windows 8 logo button function on the wheel; both of which are styled in the same colours as the device. People can chose to navigate by using the wireless keyboard and mouse, by simply touching the display, or by using the Toshiba Gesture Controller that allows control of the user interface with simple and natural hand gestures without touching the screen.

Up-to-date connectivity features Powered by the latest generation Intel ® processors, the Qosmio PX30t caters for all common daily computing needs as well as advanced entertainment and multimedia applications. Thanks to its convenient touchscreen display, users can get instant access to their favourite websites, social networks and other communication tools whenever they want them. It can also be used simply as a central screen when the device is switched off via HDMI ® -in. This allows for casual PC gaming as well as high-quality music streaming with superb sound reproduction utilising Toshiba’s Sleep-and-Music feature. And, as an additional TV set, this versatile entertainment hub brings TV broadcasts and recorded video content in Full HD quality to any room in the house.

Moreover, the Qosmio PX30t is packed with the most up-to-date connectivity features, such as Wireless LAN, Intel ® WiDi and Miracast™ ready. Wi-Fi Certified Miracast™ is a standardised technology that allows users to wirelessly transfer the multimedia stored on this all-in-one PC to a compatible TV set, so content can be enjoyed on an even bigger screen together with several friends and family. Some configurations are also equipped with an HDMI ® -out port that supports Ultra HD to convert and output Ultra HD video content to an external Ultra HD capable TV.
