How About I Be Me (And You Be You)?, Se lanZa el 20 de febrero de 2012. “Take of Your Shoes” – Live video BBC – Later With Jools Holland - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O1jY62Of9ME “Nothing Compares” – Live video BBC – Later With Jools Holland - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kDqxYpOz8UI Sinead O'Connor realiZará una gira extensa durante 2013 en Europa para promocionar el nuevo álbum y el nuevo single "4th and Vine". Other installments of the life-giving, expand ing work of the Spirit of God in transforming human lives and society, from one generation to another, have been put into thou sands of books which are now found in the libraries of the world. And, with all of this, only a fragment of the marvelous story of Christ and His church has been recorded. This book, the first history of the Allegheny Conference, Church of the United Brethren in Christ, continues the report of Christ's sav ing and building work in portions of Pennsylvania. It is a record of some of the sacrifices, joys and achievements of the pastors and mem bers of the Allegheny Conference during the ninety-two years, from 1839 to 1931.

Once the effects of the new wave were fully absorbed, it became apparent that the world of singer-songwriters would never be the same again. A conceptual mood had taken over the scene, and that mood's predecessors were precisely the Bob Dylans, the Neil Youngs, the Leonard Cohens, the Tim Buckleys, the Joni Mitchells, who had not been the most popular stars of the 1970s. Instead, they became the reference point for a new generation of "auteurs". Women, in particular, regained the status of philosophical beings (and not only disco-divas or cute front singers) that they had enjoyed with the works of Carole King and Joni Mitchell. Suzy Gottlieb, better known as Phranc (1), was the (Los Angeles-based) songwriter who started the whole acoustic folk revival with her aptly-titled Folksinger (? 1984/? 1985 - nov 1985), whose protest themes and openly homosexual confessions earned her the nickname of "all-american jewish-lesbian folksinger". She embodied the historic meaning of that movement because she was a punkette (notably in Nervous Gender) before she became a folksinger, and because she continued to identify, more than anyone else, with her post- feminist and AIDS-stricken generation in elegies such as Take Off Your Swastika (1989) and Outta Here (1991).

  • Isaac Watts - Poems
Classic Poetry Series Isaac Watts - poems - Publication Date: 2012 Publisher: Poemhunter.com - The World's Poetry Archive Isaac Watts(17 July 1674 – 25 November 1748) Isaac Watts (17 July 1674 – 25 November 1748) was an English hymnwriter, theologian and logician. A prolific and popular hymnwriter, he was recognised as the "Father of English Hymnody", credited with some 650 hymns. Many of his hymns remain in use today, and have been translated into many languages. Born in Southampton, England, in 1674, Watts was brought up in the home of a committed religious Nonconformist — his father, also Isaac Watts, had been incarcerated twice for his controversial views. At King Edward VI School (where one of the houses is now named "Watts" in his honour), Watts learned Latin, Greek and Hebrew. From an early age, Watts displayed a propensity for rhyme. Watts, unable to go to either Oxford or Cambridge on account of his non- conformity, went to the Dissenting Academy at Stoke Newington in 1690, and much of his life centred around that village, which is now part of Inner London. His education led him to the pastorate of a large independent chapel in London, where he found himself in the position of helping trainee preachers, despite his poor health. Taking work as a private tutor, Watts lived with the Nonconformist Hartopp family at Fleetwood House, on Church Street in Stoke Newington, and later in the household of their immediate neighbours Sir Thomas Abney and Lady Mary. Though a Nonconformist, Sir Thomas practised occasional conformity to the Church of England, as necessitated by his being Lord Mayor of London between 1700 and 1701.

The Séamus Begley Trio brings together the musical gifts of the Irish artists - Seamus Begley, Dezi Donnelly and Matt Griffin. One can experience the passion and intensity that these performers bring to the stage combined with an intimacy and warmth that will make you feel part of the performance. What sets them apart in the first place is their beefing-up of the rhythmic side of the music while maintaining a purity in the melodic playing and instrumentation. Edgy in their delivery, tunes and songs are given a powerful, dynamic new flavour. This is a celebration of Traditional Irish music and song that you have to experience. Their concerts provide stunning arrangements of traditional Irish masterpieces. Séamus Begley - Accordion & Vocals Séamus Begley is regarded as one of the finest Traditional Irish musicians and singers, having reshaped Irish traditional music over the last two decades. He has won Ireland's prestigious National Entertainment Award for Traditional Music for his acclaimed CD Meiteal (Working Together), recorded with Steve Cooney. His album with guitarist Jim Murray “Ragairne” was acclaimed Folk/Traditional album of the Year by “The Irish Times” and “Hot Press”, the leading music magazine in Ireland. His latest work, The Bold Kerryman is an album of songs, produced by John Reynolds (who has worked with Damien Dempsey, Seun Kuti, Sinead O’Connor, Passenger, Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, Brian Eno and David Byrne) Séamus is the quintessential Irish musician - an eager storyteller known for his sharp wit and famous for pumping out tunes. He plays with an energy that is alarming, bringing a frisky spontaneity to his box-playing, belting out jigs, slides and polkas with rapid sprays of reckless ornamentation before making a sudden key change into a bitter-sweet air, sung or played on the accordion.
