During the last decade, the number of affected people has been increasing intensively by about 1.5-3 times annually. In lieu of this connection and consistent with the Millennium Development Goals, the Government of Tajikistan has approved many important legal regulatory acts and stra- tegic programs based on the principle of reaching and obtaining universal access for the population for HIV/AIDS prevention, treatment, care and support. These legal regula- tory and strategic programs all come together and are found in the Poverty Reduction Strategy for 2007-2009. The WHO has made an essential contribution addressing the problem and aiding in pub- lic health development and health development overall. Scientific justification has lead to the creation of adequate arrangements and activities by the Government, as well as public and donor organizations that support the HIV/AIDS control programs in the Republic of Tajikistan, and requires the development (modifica- tion) of a unified database. The creation of this inventory will aid in the set up of a common platform in order to har- monize relations between the National Coordination Committee (NCC) on HIV/AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria and other partners at the country level, who will participate in the analysis, planning, monitoring, and evaluation of the effectiveness of the reaction, as a response to the HIV/AIDS epidemic.
