Con grande interesse ho portato avanti la conduzione della rivista - iniziata dal mio predecessore, mons. Edoardo Aldo Cerrato C.O. vescovo di Ivrea nel 2002 - ricevendo positivi riscontri non soltanto nell’ambiente oratoriano ma an- che nel contesto accademico della comunità scientifica. L’occasione è propizia per ringraziare tutti coloro che nell’arco di questi anni hanno collaborato con studi e contributi sostenendomi nel compito di presentare e diffondere l’immen- so patrimonio spirituale e culturale dell’Oratorio. In modo particolare intendo ringraziare i miei collaboratori dell’ufficio della Procura il dott. Alberto Bianco e il dott. Francesco Cantone per aver consentito la concreta realizzazione della rivista, conferendole una nuova veste grafica e lostatus di periodico scientifico distribuito nelle principali biblioteche del Paese. Ed è grazie al loro lavoro che dal 2016 oltre alla rivista Annales Oratorii, la Procura Generale pubblica per Edizio- ni Oratoriane monografie di cultura filippina riscuotendo oggettivi e convinti plausi. L’attuale numero degli Annales presenta, nella sezione “Studia”, sei saggi di cul- tura oratoriana dei cui argomenti si può prendere visione nel sommario. Tra i testi della sezione “E Procura Generali”, gli interventi di S.E. mons. Edoardo Aldo Cerrato, C.O., di p. Mark A. Lewis, S.J. e di mons. Stefano Sanchirico nella conferenza su “Cesare Baronio e l’umile servizio all’historia magistra Sanctita- tis” tenuta alla Chiesa Nuova in occasione dei 410 anni dalla morte del primo successore di san Filippo Neri. A Roma, dal 27 settembre al 4 ottobre, si svolgeranno i lavori del Congresso Ge- nerale: il mio augurio, accompagnato dalla preghiera, è che si rinsaldi sempre più il legame fraterno tra le nostre Congregazioni e che esse crescano nella fedeltà al carisma oratoriano. El conde Alfonso Fontanelli representa un interesante Lejemplo: reconocido diplomático, a la vez de afamado músico en los círcu- los académicos y eruditos, dejó de servir al Duque de Módena y optó por un retiro espiritual en contacto con los Padres Oratorianos. Analizando su caso, durante sus últimos años de vida, es posible ver detalles de la forma de vida de un noble retirado con la Congregación: las actividades devocionales en Santa Maria in Vallicella, la transformación de sus virtu- des y de su imagen, o el network de relaciones y amistades con miembros de la Iglesia y del Oratorio. 1. Introducción La vida social de la nobleza y la élite italiana del Antiguo Régimen estuvo especialmente marcada por eventos culturales de todo tipo, desde masca- radas hasta banquetes, pasando por recepciones y ceremonias de diversa índole. Los encuentros eruditos y las academias, organizados en ámbitos íntimos en palacios de personajes de especial posición socio-política, tu- vieron un papel relevante en esta sociabilidad y en la conformación de su 14 Annales Oratorii prestigio cultural. Particularmente durante el Renacimiento y el primer Barroco, la participación de la nobleza en estas actividades estaba ligada a la demostración y contemplación de las artes liberales, especialmente la poesía y la música, gracias al grado de virtù que ellas adquirieron en la codificación del modus vivendi cortesano-humanístico1). En Roma, podemos hablar de los múltiples espacios donde se desarrollaronn estas actividades: palacios de nobles locales, de embajadores y, sobre todo, de cardenales; con presencia de literatos y músicos, algunos de ellos de noble estirpe2). A raíz de una sensibilidad católica renovada a inicios del Seicen- to en la Ciudad Eterna, en la transición de la cultura tardo-renacentis- ta hacia el Barroco, fue aumentando la participación musical y literaria de miembros de la nobleza dentro de hermandades y congregaciones, así como en instituciones como los Collegi jesuíticos3). Questa è l’immagine che ci viene dal Vangelo che abbiamo ascoltato (Mc 10, 32-45), e che fa da sfondo anche all’atto che stiamo compiendo: un Concistoro per la creazione di alcuni nuovi Cardinali. Gesù cammina decisamente verso Gerusalemme. Sa bene che cosa lo attende e ne ha parlato più volte ai suoi discepoli. Ma tra il cuore di Gesù e i cuori dei discepoli c’è una distanza, che solo lo Spirito Santo potrà col- mare. Gesù lo sa; per questo è paziente con loro, parla loro con franchezza, e soprattutto li precede, cammina davanti a loro. Lungo il cammino, i discepoli stessi sono distratti da interessi non coerenti con la “direzione” di Gesù, con la sua volontà che è un tutt’uno con la volontà del Padre. Ad esempio – abbiamo sentito – i due fratelli Giacomo e Giovanni pensano a come sarebbe bello sedere alla destra e alla sinistra del re d’Israele (cfr v. 37). Non guardano la realtà! Credono di vedere e non vedono, di sapere e non sanno, di capire meglio degli altri e non capiscono… La realtà invece è tutt’altra, è quella che Gesù ha presente e che guida i suoi passi. La realtà è la croce, è il peccato del mondo che Lui è venuto a prendere su di sé e sradicare dalla terra degli uomini e delle donne.

Québec, Canada © Alain Patrick David, 2015 RÉSUMÉ Quelle conception du rapport Église-monde émerge des interventions des évêques d’Afrique noire aux Assemblées du Synode des évêques tenues entre 1967 et 2009? Telle est la question que cherche à élucider la présente étude. Il s’agit, d’une part, de procéder à une étude des interventions des évêques et, d’autre part, de comprendre la vision que ceux- ci ont de l’Église et de sa relation avec le monde dans lequel elle vit et avec qui elle cherche à dialoguer. La modalité du dialogue avec le monde se pose et elle est à préciser. Dans un premier temps, l’enracinement de cette recherche théologique et ecclésiologique est celui d’un acte de lecture. Le travail de constitution et de présentation du corpus, de même que l’interrogation du contexte de l’Afrique contemporaine et du contexte ecclésial de l’Église d’Afrique comme lieu d’énonciation de la parole épiscopale, ont disposé et conduit à l’analyse des interventions des évêques à partir d’une relation, celle de l’Église au monde. Dans un deuxième temps, par une traversée de l’ensemble du corpus, les éléments recueillis ont été redéployés en vue d’un essai de l’ecclésiologie qui se profile à l’analyse des interventions des évêques d’Afrique subsaharienne. Pour y parvenir, nous avons travaillé successivement la problématique de la relation Église-monde à Vatican II et dans les interventions des évêques africains pour enfin, dégager les principaux modèles ecclésiologiques auxquels ceux-ci recourent.
