Clinical Associate Dress Requirements

Clinical Uniform Program for the following locations:

All Clinical Associates must wear Cherokee scrubs that are the designated color (below). • RNs/LPNs: Pewter • PCTs: Navy o Included in this category are: PCTs, CNAs, MAs, Telemetry Techs, ED Techs, Rehab Techs, and PTAs • Diagnostic Technologists: Caribbean Blue o Included in this category are: Diagnostic Imaging, Echo, EEG, EKG, EMG, Sleep, & Wound Techs as well as Radiation Therapists • Rehabilitation Service Associates: Royal Blue o Included in this category are: Occupational, Physical, and Speech Therapists o Outpatient Services may wear royal blue polos with khaki or black pants. • Respiratory Care Associates: Black • Laboratory Associates: Wine • Unit Secretaries: Teal Blue

While it is the expectation that all associates are in the proper uniform for their shift, orienting associates will be allowed up to 3 weeks from their start date to obtain required scrubs for their position.

Long or short sleeve t-shirts can be worn under scrubs, however the sleeves of short sleeve t-shirts cannot extend longer than the sleeves of the scrub top and the t-shirt must be tucked in and not visible at the bottom of the scrub top. Shirts with a ¾ length sleeve are not allowed. T-shirts of any solid color are acceptable.

Holiday scrub tops can be worn with the designated color scrub pants. The top can be worn the day before the holiday and on the actual holiday. The holidays are: • Valentine’s Day • Halloween • Easter • Thanksgiving • July 4th • Christmas

Cherokee scrub warm up jackets of the designated style number and color are acceptable, but fleece jackets or hoodies are not allowed.

Shoes and socks are an independent decision, but must comply with the AMITA Dress Code Policy.

Professional Attire RN Any combination of navy blue and white, including all navy and all white.

*Pediatric RN -- Pediatric appropriate patterned scrub tops with navy or white pants. Certified Nursing Assistant Any combination of wine colored scrub top and bottoms or white (CNA), Mental Health bottoms and wine colored top. Technician (MHT) and Patient Care Technician (PCT) Unit Secretaries Black vest (optional), solid white shirt, solid black scrub top and black pants. Telemetry Technician Black scrub top and bottoms. Behavioral Health Business casual/dress clothing or role-specific professional attire as listed above. Pharmacy Pharmacists wear professional attire, no jeans may be worn with the exception of hospital approved occasions. Scrubs may be worn in any combination of olive and gray by Pharmacists in ED & ICU. Respiratory Therapy Any combination of Caribbean Blue or Black.

All Associates shoes: Brown, white or black, solid as possible.
