As fans packed Quicken Loans Arena June 19, fl owing onto streets to watch the win the fi rst NBA championship in franchise history and the fi rst sports title for the city in any sport in 52 years, the same scene unfolded in North Ridgeville as fans fl ocked to Aces Grille to watch the storybook ending. The bar/restaurant, located at 32650 Lorain Road, fi lled up early for the epic game Game 7 against the Golden State Warriors, crackled with excitement and was fi lled with shouting and screaming that culminated in the Cavs’ 93-89 win. Fans were spread throughout the indoor dining area and packed the outdoor patio as well. Fans watched the fi nal minutes of the game unfold and exploded in cheers when Kyrie Irving drained a 3-pointer that gave the Cavs the lead for good at 92-89 with just 53 seconds remain. With the Cavs holding a 93-89 lead and the fi nal sec- onds ticking off the clock at Oracle Arena fans began hug- ging each other and screaming as league MVP Steph Curry misfi red on his own 3-point attempt followed by another miss before the clock hit :00 and LeBron James and his teammates celebrated the title.
