Government of West Bengal Office of the Commissioner of Police Howrah ORDER As His Excellency, President of India, Sri Pranab Mu Government of West Bengal Office of the Commissioner of Police Howrah ORDER As his Excellency, President of India, Sri Pranab Mukherjee will be visiting Fuleswar under Howrah Rural District on 16.09.12, it is necessary in the interest of public safety, security and also to prevent danger, obstruction, inconvenience to his Excellency during journey, to impose traffic restrictions for regulating the movement of vehicles at different parts of Howrah Commissionerate area during the period. In exercise of powers conferred upon me U/S 112(2) /115/116/117 of Motor Vehicles Act, 1988 vide notification no. 2827(A)-WT/3M-80/2002 dated 01.09.2002. of Transport Department I, Ajey Mukund Ranade, Commissioner of Police, Howrah do hereby order that movement and parking of vehicles shall be regulated in the following manner notwithstanding any other order in force on 16.09.12 from 12.00 to18.00 hrs. i) Movement of all types of Goods Vehicles shall be restricted within the City of Howrah Police Commissionerate at the following roads from 12.00 hrs to 18.00 hrs. on 16.09.12 till the journey of the VVIP is over, in addition to the normal restrictions on the day. Restrictions for Goods Vehicles ( from 12.00 hrs to 18.00 hrs.) 1. Maitypara towards NH-6. 2. Merging point of NH-2 & NH-6 near CCR Bridge towards Kona fly-over. 3. Nimtala crossing on G.T. Road towards Bally. 4. Kona crossing on NH-6 towards Salap Morh. 5. Salap crossing on NH-6 towards Nibra Morh. 6. Shanpur crossing, Ichhapur crossing and Natun Rasta Morh on Drainage Canal Road towards Hang-Sang crossing. 7. Betaitala crossing and Shalimar crossing on HRBC ramp towards Kona Expressway. 8. Kajipara crossing towards Kolkata via 2nd Hooghly Bridge. 9. Toll Plaza towards Kolkata via 2nd Hooghly Bridge & towards Kona Expressway. 10. Near Alampur crossing towards 2nd Hooghly Bridge along Andul road. 11. Kona Truck Terminal towards Kolkata and Howrah City along Kona Expressway & 2nd HB. 12. Near Nibra crossing towards Kolkata & Howrah City along Kona Expressway & 2nd HB. Restrictions of Vehicles of all descriptions (from 14.30 hrs to17.30 hrs.) 1. Movement of vehicles of all descriptions will be restricted on Kona Expressway from 14.30 hrs to 17.30 hrs on the day. i) Movement of vehicles of all descriptions which approach during the above-mentioned date & time along Kona expressway will be regulated during the movement of the VVIP as and when it will be considered necessary beyond the restricted period.
