Local drag performer Bradley Bogaert is featured. Don was Director of Advertising for Lawson to 1981 InTouch , a magazine geared towards gay men. 1/3 Correspondence, One letter from Ernest J. Collins, General Manager of the Herman CRHC.LGBTQ.003 Ernest Collins; July Business Requirements Division for the United States Postal Lawson 9, 1990 Service. Led by Ralph Walker, it espoused New Age spiritual circa 1970s to 1980s ideals of self-help and self-idealizing. Niles, Michigan resident Herman Lawson used the service to connect with other gay men. This folder contains twenty-seven letters to him from fifteen different men from the late 1970s through the late 1980s. Note: One letter includes a photocopy of a nude photograph of a man. Lawson circa 1980s The Seahorse was an LGBTQ bar and performance venue on South Bend, Indiana's west side. – CRHC.LGBTQ.018a: December 7, 1981 (card and envelope) – CRHC.LGBTQ.018b: December 3, 1984 (card and envelope) – CRHC.LGBTQ.018c: December 6, 1982 (card and envelope) – CRHC.LGBTQ.018d: December 1, 1986 (card and envelope). No date given, though a holding from the Canadian Lesbian and Gay Archive (http://www.clga.ca/periodicals/si-sz) lists it as circa 1976. 1/20 Sticker, Human Small (approximately 3" by 3") sticker with a blue Herman CRHC.LGBTQ.020 Rights Campaign; background and yellow equal sign icon ("="). The icon is Lawson circa 2010s recognized as the symbol of the Human Rights Campaign, a national LGBTQ civil rights organization. Although there is no date on the sticker, it is presumed to be from the early 2010s. Document does not contain a date, but presumed to be from the mid-2000s. 1/23 Campaigning for a Photocopy of a section from a published booklet entitled, Catherine CRHC.LGBTQ.023 Policy; no date Campaigning for a Policy . It contains advice for LGBTQ civil Pittman rights advocates. No publishing information was copied. 1/24 Bumper Sticker, Bumper sticker meant to adhere to the back of a car that Catherine CRHC.LGBTQ.024 DIGITA "Alive with Hope and reads “South Bend / Alive with Hope and Pride! / Pittman L Pride!"; circa 2007 www.hopenotfear.org.” The sticker was produced by the South Bend "Citizens for Progress" group, and meant to show support for LGBTQ civil rights in the city.
