Jack Stark, 81, is a Fort Wayne native and firearms enthusiast. His entire life he has had a great interest in guns, however, it was not until 2007 when he began his immense collection. Starting out, Stark held a keen interest in seeking out European military from the late 19th to mid- 20th century. He says that his inspiration for this came primarily from the line of rifles, due to its wide array of models & designs.

Over the past decade, Stark says his collection began to transform as his focus shifted to categories such as guns of World War 1, military guns, and then to .22 Slide- rifles. Furthermore, Stark says he then began to collect Lugers, American Eagles, and other of the 1900’s. To Stark, both design and era are two leading factors he considers when seeking out a new addition to his collection. He has no interest in plastics, as only the original steel and wood-work that made these guns so famous are what draws him in. Stark’s main interest in collecting firearms stems from his interest in the intricate mechanisms within the guns casing. Stark is a Mechanical Engineer by trade, attributing much of his enjoyment when dissembling, cleaning, and restoring guns - to study the guns functionality, as well as to maintain and preserve its original condition. While many of these guns carry a strong memory of when he acquired it and the care and time put into owning it, Stark says it is time to downsize, as the collection has become too much for him to manage at this point in his life. He states that perhaps the money raised from this auction, will be put to use in funding other collections such as his wrist and pocket watch collection, or his collection of local Fort Wayne artwork. Terms of Sale

Registration All bidders must register and provide proper identification the day of the auction. Bidding will be by the number system. Online bidders must register through Proxibid.com and are subject to the online bidding terms and conditions posted on the online bidding page.

Firearms Transfer Information Long guns will be delivered to Indiana Buyers the day of auction at the Auction Site, and Buyers of long guns must be at least 18 years of age. Buyers of hand guns must be at least 21 years of age. ALL HAND GUNS & ANY GUN SOLD TO AN OUT OF STATE BUYER WILL BE TRANSFERRED to a licensed firearms dealer, Ranger Supply, located at 2448 Getz Rd, Fort Wayne, IN 46804. The Buyer shall be responsible for the transfer fee in the amount of $25.00 per firearm and is payable directly to the gun shop at the time of transfer. In the event that you are purchasing a firearm and you reside outside of the State of Indiana; the gun shop shall transfer the gun directly to the Federal Firearm dealer of your choosing. The initial transfer fee of $25.00 shall be paid to the gun shop along with the cost of handling and shipping. Any subsequent charges that are being charged by the receiving Firearms dealer will also be at the sole cost of the Buyer.

Method of Payment All purchase must be paid in full day of sale by check, cash, Visa, Discover or Master Card. A 10% buyer’s premium will be charged to all purchases. A 13% buyer’s premium will be charged to all purchase using credit card. No out of state checks will be accepted.

Condition of Items All items are being sold “As-Is, Where-Is” with no warranty being expressed or implied by the Auction Company or the Seller.

Removal Items may be removed on auction day for one hour after the conclusion of the sale.
