At 8:00 AM, “BASYANG” was forecasted to make landfall between Surigao and Dinagat provinces. TCWS #2 was raised over Bohol, Southern Cebu, Siquijor, Negros Oriental, Negros Occidental and Southern Leyte, Dinagat Island, Surigao del Sur, Surigao del Norte, Agusan del Norte, Agusan del Sur, Camiguin, Misamis Oriental, and northern section of Bukidnon while TCWS #1 was raised over Palawan including Calamian Group of Islands and southern section of Masbate Aklan, Capiz, Antique, Iloilo, Guimaras, rest of Negros Occidental, rest of Cebu, Leyte, Biliran, Samar, and Eastern Samar, Zamboanga del Sur, northern section of Zamboanga del Norte, northern section of Zamboanga Sibugay, Misamis Occidental, Lanao del Norte, Lanao del Sur, rest of Bukidnon, North Cotabato, Compostela Valley, Davao del Norte, and northern section of Davao Oriental. At 9:15 AM, “BASYANG” made landfall over Cortez, Surigao del Sur and has weakend into a tropical depression. At 11:00 AM, TCWS #1 at Palawan including Calamian, Cuyo Group of Islands, Aklan, Capiz, Antique, Iloilo, Guimaras, Negros Occidental, Negros Oriental, Siquijor, Bohol, Cebu, Biliran, Leyte, Southern Leyte, southern section of Samar, southern section of Eastern Samar, Dinagat Islands, Surigao del Norte, Surigao del Sur, Agusan del Norte, Agusan del Sur, Camiguin, Misamis Oriental, northern section of Bukidnon, Lanao del Norte, northern section of Lanao del Sur, Misamis Occidental, and northern section of Zamboanga del Norte. At 5:00 PM, “BASYANG” has slightly weakened as it continues to traverse the Bohol Sea. TCWS #1 at Palawan including Calamian, Cuyo Group of Islands, Aklan, Capiz, Antique, Iloilo, Guimaras, Negros Occidental, Negros Oriental, Siquijor, Bohol, Cebu, Biliran, Leyte, Southern Leyte, Camiguin, Misamis Oriental, Misamis Occidental, and northern section of Zamboanga del Norte. At 8:00 PM, “BASYANG” has slowed down slightly and was about to make landfall in the southern tip of Cebu. At 9:00 PM, “BASYANG” made its second landfall over Dumaguete City, Negros Oriental and is moving towards Sulu Sea. At 11:00 PM, TCWS #1 was raised over Palawan including Calamian, Cuyo Group of Islands, Aklan, Capiz, Antique, Iloilo, Guimaras, Negros Occidental, Negros Oriental, Siquijor, Bohol, Cebu, northern section Misamis Occidental, and northern section of Zamboanga del Norte. 14 February 2018 At 2:00 AM, “BASYANG” has maintained its strength and is over Sulu Sea. TCWS #1 at Palawan including Calamian, Cuyo Group of Islands, Aklan, Capiz, Antique, Iloilo, Guimaras, Negros Occidental, Negros Oriental, Siquijor, Bohol, Cebu, and northern section of Zamboanga del Norte. At 5:00 AM, “BASYANG” maintains its west northwest direction as it traverses Sulu Sea TCWS #1 at Palawan including Calamian, Cuyo Group of Islands, southern section of Negros Occidental, southern section of Negros Oriental, and northern section of Zamboanga del Norte. At 2:00 PM, “BASYANG” has maintained its strength as it continues to move generally westward while TCWS #1 is still raised in southern section of Palawan (including Puerto Princesa City). At 4:00 PM, “BASYANG” has weakened into a Low Pressure Area (LPA). All TCWS are now lifted. 15 February 2018 At 10:00 AM, the LPA (formerly Tropical Depression “BASYANG”) was estimated based on all available data at 220 km South Southeast of Puerto Princesa City, Palawan (8.1°N, 119.8°E). Latest analysis indicates that significant re-development of this weather disturbance into a Tropical Depression is still likely. 16 February 2018 At 10:00 AM, the LPA was estimated based on all available data at 220 km Southwest of Puerto Princesa City, Palawan (8.6°N, 117.1°E). The LPA is expected to exit the PAR in the next 12-24 hours. At 6:00 PM, The LPA (formerly Tropical Depression “BASYANG”) exited PAR. I. EFFECTS A. Affected Population (TAB A) 1. A total of 57,266 families / 240,135 persons were affected in 517 Barangays in 114 Municipalities/Cities in 17 Provinces of Regions MIMAROPA, VI, VII, VIII, and CARAGA. 2. Status of Lifeline Power Supply 1. All municipalities in the island of Siargao experienced power interruption on 12:00 PM, 12 February 2018 due to a damaged electrical post in Socorro, Surigao del Norte. (CARAGA) 2. Silay City, Negros Occidenal experienced power outage on 8:00 PM, 12 February 2018. Power resumed at 1:30 PM, 13 February 2018. (REGION VI) 3. The municipality of Carmen in Bohol lost power on 12 February 2018. It was restored at 12:00 PM, 13 February 2018. (REGION VII) 4. The municipalities of Culaba and Kawayan in Biliran experienced power interruption since 8:00 AM, 13 February 2018. (REGION VIII) 2 Status of Flights 1.
