PCN Name: Kingstanding, Erdington and Nechells (KEN PCN) Job Title: Primary Care Paramedic Location: GP Practices within Kingstanding, Erdington and Nechells PCN Salary: Salary to be based on experience (£37,000 -£41,744) Accountable to: PCN Clinical Director (OHP) or delegated Physician Professional Leadership Consultant Pharmacist, Lead for PCN Additional Roles Description We are seeking a Paramedic to join our growing team at Our Health Partnership, working for and across the Kingstanding, Erdington and Nechells Primary Care Network (PCN). The successful candidate will be part of a dynamic and forward-thinking PCN led Multi- Disciplinary Team (MDT). Leadership will be provided by the PCN Clinical Director and Consultant Pharmacist at OHP. The successful candidate will join an existing team of paramedics which is supervised by a lead GP. Regular team meetings, peer supervision and teaching sessions will be part of the PCN Paramedics development. The role will involve working in general practice within the specific PCN, as an autonomous, accountable Paramedic, in the provision of a holistic approach for individuals including assessment, diagnosis and treatment to deliver quality patient services. We are looking for individuals who will use advanced clinical skills to provide education to patients and service users, promoting self-care and empower them to make informed choices about their treatment. The post holder will assess, diagnose, treat, refer or signpost patients/service users who attend the surgery with undifferentiated or undiagnosed condition relating to minor illness or minor injury. The post holder will coordinate telephone triage, taking clinical responsibility for all patients who have requested an urgent appointment in addition to conducting home visits. The post holder will perform any other clinical and clinical administrative duties where trained and determined safe to do so by the partners.
