97.5 Virgin Radio's 97.5 Virgin Radio’s $500 Fridays CONTEST OFFICIAL RULES AND REGULATIONS (the “Rules”) • The “97.5 Virgin Radio’s $500 Fridays” contest (the “Contest”) starts at 6:00 pm Eastern Standard Time (EST) on November 3, 2017 and closes on November 27, 2017 at 8:30 am EST (the “Contest Period”). The Contest Period consists of four (4) different phases as follows: • Phase One • From November 3 at 6:00 pm to November 6, 2017 at 8:30 am EST • Phase Two • From November 10 at 6:00 pm to November 13, 2017 at 8:30 am EST • Phase • From November 17 at 6:00 pm to November 20, 2017 at 8:30 am EST Three • Phase Four • From November 24 at 6:00 pm to November 27, 2017 at 8:30 am EST • Phase One, Phase Two, Phase Three and Phase Four shall collectively be referred to as “Phases”, each, a “Phase”. • The Contest sponsors are 97.5 Virgin Radio and CTV London (hereinafter referred to as the “Contest Sponsors”). No purchase necessary. Void where prohibited. Limit of one (1) Prize per household. • To enter and be eligible to win, entrant must be (i) a legal resident of Ontario, Canada, and (ii) nineteen (19) years of age or older as of the date of entering the Contest. Employees and their parents, siblings and children, and persons domiciled with an employee of the Contest Sponsors, their respective agents, parent, affiliated or related companies, subsidiaries, divisions, prize sponsors, and promotional and advertising agencies and administrators, are ineligible to enter. A winner of a previous Bell Media Radio London Station contest (this includes any contest on CIQM-FM, CJBK-AM, and CJBX-FM) within the thirty (30) days preceding the winner selection date for this Contest (including persons designated by such winners to participate in the prizes) and persons domiciled with a winner may be disqualified. • HOW TO ENTER. During each Phase of the Contest Period, a code word (the “Word”) will be announced on CTV London one (1) time each Friday (between approximately 6:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. EST). For clarity, each Phase will have a different Word. Once a Word has been announced, any previous Word answer will be considered incorrect and ineligible for entry into the Contest in accordance with the procedure outlined below. When you hear an Announcement and you have the Word, there are two (2) ways to enter the Contest, as follows: Text Message: Text the Word to short code “975975” (the “Text Entry”). You must have access to a cellular telephone that is capable of two-way text messaging. Text messaging is not available in all areas. Standard text messaging fees apply (check your carrier plan for your standard text messaging fees). Text Entries shall be deemed to be submitted by the Authorized Mobile Account Holder of the mobile phone used to enter the Contest. “Authorized Mobile Account Holder" of a mobile phone is defined as the natural person who is assigned to a cellular telephone number by a wireless carrier that is responsible for assigning cellular telephone numbers. An eligible Prize winner may be required to provide proof that he/she the Authorized Mobile Account Holder associated with the selected Text Entry (if applicable). OR Email: To enter without having to send a text message, send an email to [email protected] that includes “$500 Fridays” in the subject line of the email and your full name, mailing address, telephone number and email address in the body of the email (the “Email Entry”). Email Entries shall be deemed to be submitted by the Authorized Email Account Holder of the email address submitted at the time of entry. “Authorized Email Account Holder" is defined as the natural person who is assigned an email address by an internet provider, online service provider, or other organization (e.g. business, educational institute, etc.) that is responsible for assigning email addresses for the domain associated with the submitted email address. An eligible Prize winner may be required to provide proof that he/she the Authorized Email Account Holder associated with the selected Email Entry (if applicable). • Text Entries and Email Entries shall be collectively referred to as “Entries”, each, an “Entry”. Limit of twenty- five (25) Entries per day per individual per Phase. If it is discovered that you attempted to enter more than the foregoing entry limit, all your Entries will be void. • PRIZES: There are four (4) prizes available to be won (each, a “Prize”), one (1) Prize per Phase. Each Prize consists of five hundred dollars ($500) CAD, remitted to the winner in the form of a cheque. The number of Prizes decreases as they are awarded during the Contest Period. • Prizes must be accepted as awarded. The Prizes may not be sold nor transferred. Contest Sponsors reserve the right to substitute a Prize in whole or in part in the event that all or any component of the Prize is unavailable. Prize winner is solely responsible for all costs not expressly described herein. • PRIZE DRAWS: On November 6, November 13, November 20 and November 27, 2017, between, approximately 8:30 am and 9:00 am EST, a random draw for the Prizes will take place at Bell Media Inc., London, ON (each, a “Weekly Draw”) from among all eligible Entries received up to the point of the applicable Weekly Draw. The first Entry drawn in the course of each Weekly Draw will be eligible to win a Prize. The odds of winning a Prize will depend on the number of eligible Entries received up to the point of the applicable Weekly Draw. Bell Media Inc., acting reasonably, will attempt to contact each potential Prize winner to notify potential winner that he or she may have won a Prize by telephone within two (2) business days after the applicable Weekly Draw. In the event that a potential winner cannot be contacted within two (2) business days after the applicable Weekly Draw, he or she will be disqualified and an alternate potential winner may be drawn at the Contest Sponsors’ sole discretion. Proof of identification must be provided upon request. • In order to be declared a winner, potential winner must first correctly answer, unaided, a time limited mathematical skill testing question administered by Bell Media Inc. Before being awarded the Prize, the potential winner will be required to sign and return within the time stipulated by the Contest Sponsors, a full release and indemnity form stating that, among other things, he/she has read, understood and complied with these Rules, grants all consents required, agrees to be available and to participate in publicity and/or promotions related to the Contest and/or the Contest Sponsors and/or similar matters, authorizes the Contest Sponsors to broadcast, publish, disseminate and otherwise use his/her name, city/town/village and province/territory of residence, photograph, likeness, sobriquet and voice, in connection with any promotion and/or publicity, and/or for general news, entertainment and/or information purposes at no additional compensation to the potential winner, beyond the awarding of or participation in the Prize, accepts the Prize as offered and releases the Contest Sponsors from any and all liability of any kind arising out of the potential winner’s participation in this Contest and receipt and use of the Prize. In the event that a potential winner does not comply with all the provisions as contemplated in these Rules, Contest Sponsors shall have the right to disqualify the potential winner, and draw an alternate potential winner, and the Contest Sponsors shall be fully and completely released and discharged from any liability or responsibility in this regard. The provisions and procedures referred to above relating to selection and notification of a potential winner, shall be applied, with the necessary amendments, until all qualified winners have been duly selected, but in any event, no later than November 30, 2017. • By entering this Contest, the entrants and participants automatically agree to accept and abide by these Rules. All decisions of the Contest Sponsors with respect to any aspect of this Contest, including without limitation the eligibility of Entries, are final and binding on all entrants in all matters as they relate to this Contest. • All Entries become property of Contest Sponsors who assume no responsibility for garbled, lost, late, delayed, destroyed or misdirected Entries, mail, voice messages, e-mail or any computer errors or malfunctions. No correspondence will be entered into except with entrants requesting Rules by mail or requesting the names of the Prize winners (for which a self-addressed, postage paid envelope must be included). Contest Sponsors do not assume any responsibility for incorrect or inaccurate capture of entry information, technical malfunctions, human or technical error, seeding or printing errors, lost, delayed or garbled data or transmissions, omission, interruption, deletion, defect or failures of any telephone or computer line or network, computer equipment, software or any combination thereof. Entry materials or data that have been tampered with or altered are void. If for any reason, in the opinion of the Contest Sponsors, in their sole discretion, the Contest is not capable of running as originally planned, or if the administration, security, fairness, integrity or the proper conduct of the Contest is corrupted or adversely affected, including by reason of infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures or any other causes beyond its control, Contest Sponsors reserve their right to cancel, terminate, modify, amend, extend or suspend the Contest, and select a winner from previously received eligible Entries. Contest Sponsors reserve their right to modify the Rules without materially affecting the terms and conditions hereof.

Standard Broadcasting merged its Canadian Talent Library (ctl) development fund with factor’s in 1985. As a private non-profit organization, factor is dedicated to providing assistance toward the growth and development of the Canadian independent recording industry. The foundation administers the voluntary contributions from sponsoring radio broadcasters as well as two components of the Department of Canadian Heritage’s Canada Music Fund which support the Canadian music industry. factor has been managing federal funds since the inception of the Sound Recording Development Program in 1986 (now known as the Canada Music Fund). Support is provided through various programs which all aid in the development of the industry. The funds assist Canadian recording artists and songwriters in having their material produced, their videos created and support for domestic and international touring and showcasing opportunities as well as providing support for Canadian record labels, distributors, recording studios, video production companies, producers, engineers, directors– all those facets of the infrastructure which must be in place in order for artists and Canadian labels to progress into the international arena. factor started out with an annual budget of $200,000 and is currently providing in excess of $14 million annually to support the Canadian music industry. The applicant proposed that it would broadcast, twice during each broadcast week, a one- hour program to be called Kwe-Kew. This program would focus on the heritage of the Chippewas of Thames and the Oneida Nation of Thames. The program would consist of interviews and round table discussions and all music featured would be Canadian Aboriginal selections. The Commission approves the applications by Bell Media Inc. (Bell Media), on its own behalf and on behalf of 8384819 Canada Inc., as well as the application by Bell Media, on behalf of a corporation to be incorporated, for authority to effect a multi- step corporate reorganization involving the assets of the radio and television services listed in the appendix to this decision. Bell Media also requested new broadcasting licences to continue the operation of these services under the same terms and conditions as those in effect under the current licences. The Commission did not receive any interventions regarding these applications. 2. The corporate reorganization will be effected through a series of steps. First, a new share capital corporation will acquire the assets of the services currently operated by Bell Media Radio (Toronto) Inc. and 4382072 Canada Inc., partners in a general partnership carrying on business as Bell Media Radio G.P. Following an amalgamation, Bell Media will become the licensee of these undertakings.
