Day 1 - Home Cities to St. John’s. Depart home cities for 1843 condition. Other stops on your tour include the monument St. John’s to start your tour of Newfoundland. to John Cabot located near the lighthouse, Ryan Premises National Historic Site – which includes the Bonavista Museum Day 2 - St. John’s. Depart St. John’s for the Witless Bay and the Dungeon Provincial Park, a collapsed sea cave. Ecological Reserve and take a boat tour to see the nesting seabirds, humpback whales and icebergs. Return to the hotel for Day 5 - Clarenville to Gander. Today’s first stop is Joey’s some free time to explore St. John’s. Lookout in Gambo, the birthplace of Joseph R Smallwood, the first premier of the province and one of the original ‘Father’s of Day 3 - St. John’s to Clarenville. Today we travel to the Confederation’. From here we go to Boyd’s Cove and visit Clarenville, but not before we have a historical city tour of St. John’s, the Beothuk Interpretation Centre and learn more about including Signal Hill National Historic Site, Government Newfoundland’s ill-fated indigenous people. In we will House, Anglican Cathedral and the Cape Spear National visit Prime Berth Historic Fishing Village and learn about the Historical Site. After leaving St. John’s, we will visit Heart’s Content Cable Station. A special treat this evening is an authentic history and culture of the area by visiting the Living History Museum Newfoundland Screech In. and then on to the , built in 1876.

Day 4 - Clarenville. Today we will continue our journey to Trinity and Bonavista. First we visit the community of Trinity. Most of the old Day 6 - Gander to Rocky Harbour. Today, before we leave town is a national heritage district, and there are several provincial Gander, often called the ‘Crossroads of the World’, we will stop at historic sites such as Hiscock House Provincial Historic Site. the Silent Witness Memorial and then we’ll visit the Atlantic Lester Garland Premises Provincial Historic Site, Lester Aviation Museum which tells the story of civil and military aviation Garland House/Wessex Learning Centre and St. Paul’s in the town going back to the 1930’s. Anglican Church are our other stops. While in Trinity we will stop by the Green Family Forge Blacksmith Museum, and the Trinity We’ll then depart for Grand Falls-Windsor to visit the Salmonid Museum and Archives as well as the Trinity Interpretation Interpretation Centre, a fabulous place to watch Atlantic salmon Centre. We go back into history to the voyage of John Cabot. He as they migrate to their spawning grounds. Our home tonight sailed from England to Newfoundland landing at Cape Bonavista in is Rocky Harbour. Tonight you can relax and tap your feet to the 1497. One of the “must-sees” is the Cape Bonavista Lighthouse popular local band, Anchors Aweigh who will be playing a Provincial Historic Site which has been restored to its original selection of local Newfoundland & Labrador music.

Day 7 - Rocky Harbour to L’Anse-au-Clair. Our first stop is The Arches Provincial Park where caves carved by undersea wave action have been thrust above the surface over the eons. Then we head for St. Barbe and take the ferry through Iceberg Alley. You may have an opportunity to marvel at the sight of majestic icebergs and breaching whales. Off to Red Bay National Historic Site, World Whaling Capital 1550-1600 AD. Experienced Visitor Centre guides will interpret the Basque whaling activity in the area during the 16th century.

Day - 11 Deer Lake to Home Cities. Sadly, all good things must come to an end. This morning we will transfer you to the airport for your flight home.

Plum Point

Day - 9 St. Anthony to Plum Point. We will stay in St.Anthony for the morning and visit the Grenfell home and the Charles S. Curtis Memorial Hospital to see the Jordi Bonet Murals. The murals tell the story of the Grenfell Mission, named for famous medical missionary Sir Wilfred Grenfell. This afternoon we take in L’Anse aux Meadows National Historic Site. You will be able to tour the reconstructed sod huts as animators recreate daily life at the site. This evening we partake in a Newfoundland ‘Mug Up’. Day - 10 Plum Point to Deer Lake. Today’s highlights include Gros Morne National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, where we will visit the Discovery Centre. We also visit Lobster Cove Head Lighthouse and from there get a great view of Bonne Bay and the surrounding mountains. We will then take a water taxi from Norris Point to Woody Point.
