YM Corona Resource Options Update.Pages Yancy Ministries wants to help you reach kids and families during this season of social distancing. Church-At-Home is the new normal for this season. Here are some guidelines for how you can make our songs and worship resources available to those you serve: • Build an audio playlist of worship songs that you use in your ministry. With kids at home for an extended time, fear, stress, and the unknown will be impacting family’s lives. I promise that familiar worship music can help. 1) Use the site soundiiz.com to build a a playlist of your recently used worship songs. 2) Push the list to all the different platforms like Apple Music, Spotify , YouTube Music and more. 3) Share the link to the platform playlists you have made with your families. Use linkfire.com to create a smart link. 4) Family use accounts will cover licenses for the music being played for personal use. This is a FREE resource to your church to put music in the hands of your families. • Use Yancy audio &/or video in a streaming church service for kids. If the song fits the criteria below, Yancy Ministries is granting a temporary wavier of streaming licenses for churches and children’s ministries. This wavier begins on March 18th and ends on May 31, 2020. (Effective June 1, 2020 we will be moving to an annual streaming license model. Check YancyMinistries.com for more info on that very soon.) 1) Discover if the Yancy recording you would like to use is a song written by Yancy or by another songwriter. (See following lists) 2) The song use must be for streaming and NOT for download. Yancy Ministries.com // Music That Makes Jesus Loud // Rev. 5/5/20 3) If Yancy wrote the song, you have temporary permission to do the following: - Use song audio &/or video inside of a kid’s church or service video - Amount of Yancy music should be 33 percent or less of the video - Text for Yancy/Kidmin Worship Songs must be at the beginning &/ or end: “Fill in Song Title Here” by Yancy Social Follow: @YancyNotNancy YancyNotNancy.com - Text for Little Praise Party songs must be at the beginning &/or end: “Fill in Song Title Here” by Yancy & Little Praise Party Social Follow: @YancyNotNancy YancyNotNancy.com 4) If Yancy DID NOT write the song, here is some helpful information: - Although we own the masters for audio and video we do not own the writing of the song and therefore can not give you full permission to use those songs. You must have permission from both the songwriter (various) and the recording/video owner (Yancy Ministries). - This is a great time to make sure your church has the Streaming Add-On license from CCLI. This is in addition to your basic CCLI license. With this Streaming Add-On license, you have songwriter rights to stream over 300,000 worship songs. As you report the songs you use in your streamed kid’s church lessons or services to CCLI, this helps songwriters get paid for your usage of their songs. - If you don’t have the Streaming Add-On license from CCLI, you will need to contact the song publisher for each song you want to use. That can be very time consuming and we suggest the CCLI add-on license. - Once you have the songwriter permission, you have our temporary permission and can do the following: - Use song audio &/or video inside of a kid’s church or service video - Amount of Yancy music should be 33 percent or less of the video - Text for Yancy/Kidmin Worship Songs must be at the beginning &/ or end: “Fill in Song Title Here” by Yancy Social Follow: @YancyNotNancy YancyNotNancy.com - Text for Little Praise Party songs must be at the beginning &/or end: “Fill in Song Title Here” by Yancy & Little Praise Party Social Follow: @YancyNotNancy Yancy Ministries.com // Music That Makes Jesus Loud // Rev. 5/5/20 YancyNotNancy.com COPYRIGHT REMINDER: You do not have permission to upload our song videos alone to any App, Vimeo, YouTube, Facebook, Website, etc. However, there are systems in place to cover your families watching the videos for personal use from YouTube so linking to those is a great option. Thank you for respecting copyrights, supporting artists and creators and using the options above so that TOGETHER we can impact many children and parents in the coming weeks. Although we are granting the above waiver for this season some of you have asked how you can give and support our ministry in these times. You can make a donation online at YancyMinistries.com/give It is truly our joy to be a blessing to your Kidmin and the families you are reaching. We look forward to that continuing in the days to come. Let’s make Jesus loud! Yancy Ministries Song Listing. Marcel said nigga all the time but he was shoe polish black and talked with an urban twang. Brown-skinned and mixed, I didn’t even ask permission. We spent all our lunch periods together in the schoolyard, watching the other kids play handball, tetherball, and basketball. I’ve enjoyed playing those games many times, but chilling was just our thing. I was twelve, and didn’t want to play as often anymore; I’d calmed down in some ways and found excitement in others. I was over kid shit, and I assumed Marcel was too. So lunch periods we leaned against the chain- linked fence, discussing basketball or rap—usually rap. “Cam G is mad fresh son,” Marcel said, “That nigga’s flow is amazing. Efren, you gotta hear his new song. Nigga in the video with mad bitches dancing on him, shoving his face in they chest.

One late winter weekend, Greg happened to drive by the Metro, a legendary Chicago music venue, and saw a line of kids that stretched down the block. What made the scene unusual wasn’t just the crowd—it was what they were waiting for: the marquee read, “Louder Than a Bomb Youth Poetry Slam Finals.” Teenagers, hundreds of them, of every shape, size, and color, lined up on a Saturday night to see poetry? In Chicago!? Whatever this thing is, it must be interesting. The more we saw, the more convinced we became that, in fact, it was. There was the LTAB community—a remarkable combination of democracy and meritocracy, where everyone’s voice is respected, but the kids all know who can really bring it. There were the performances themselves—bold, brave, and often searingly memorable. And there were the coaches, teachers, and parents, whose tireless support would become a quietly inspiring thread throughout the film.

What good is it for a man to gain the whole world, and yet lose or forfeit his very self?” Luke 9:23-25 "Jesus answered him, “The first of all the commandments is: ‘Hear, O Israel, the LORD our God, the LORD is one.

The Orthodox name him “The Theologian”1 – a title they accord only one other, St John the Apostle and Evangelist – and honour him with two feast- days, January 25th and January 30th. The western Catholic tradition has ranked him among “the Four Doctors of the Eastern Church”2 and honoured him on May 9th. (When the Roman Catholic church revised its Calendar in 1969, Gregory was joined with Basil the Great in a single memorial on January 2nd.3) In spite of these accolades, Gregory has not received anything like the attention that western scholars have devoted to other ancient writers. This is especially true in the English-speaking world. Until recently, the only major modern study of Gregory in English is Rosemary Radford Ruether’s Gregory of Nazianzus: Rhetor and Philosopher (Oxford: Oxford University Press, 1969).

It is a faith mission endeavouring to reach the seeking ones among the 127 million Japanese people. Japan Mission is interdenominational, not forming churches, but rather linking those reached through many avenues of ministry to already existing evangelical churches that believe and teach the fundamental doctrines of the Bible. The main emphasis of our work is to aid Japan’s approximately 7,800 churches, which have an average attendance of about 35 people. • Thomas Tallis the Complete Works
Thomas Tallis The Complete Works Tallis is dead and music dies. So wrote William Byrd, Tallis's most distinguished pupil, capturing the esteem and veneration in which Tallis was held by his fellow composers and musical colleagues in the 16th century and, indeed, by the four monarchs he served at the Chapel Royal. Tallis was undoubtedly the greatest of the 16th century composers; in craftsmanship, versatility and intensity of expression, the sheer uncluttered beauty and drama of his music reach out and speak directly to the listener. It is surprising that hitherto so little of Tallis's music has been regularly performed and that so much is not satisfactorily published. This series of ten compact discs will cover Tallis's complete surviving output from his five decades of composition, and will include the contrafacta, the secular songs and the instrumental music - much of which is as yet unrecorded. Great attention is paid to performance detail including pitch, pronunciation and the music's liturgical context. As a result new editions of the music are required for the recordings, many of which will in time be published by the Cantiones Press. 1 CD 1 Music for Henry VIII This recording, the first in the series devoted to the complete works of Thomas Tallis, includes church music written during the first decade of his career, probably between about 1530 and 1540. Relatively little is known about Tallis’s life, particularly about his early years. He was probably born in Kent during the first decade of the sixteenth century. When we first hear of him, in 1532, he is organist of Dover Priory, a small Benedictine monastery consisting of about a dozen monks.
