Overtime wins and losses appear in both the W and L columns, as well as the OTW and OTL columns in a team’s conference record. Shootouts will only occur if a conference game remains tied after the lone overtime, which is now 3-on-3, with the shootout winner earning two points and the loser getting one point, the same as an overtime win and loss.

2021 Mike Richter Award Watch List

Five NCHC goaltenders were named to the 2021 Mike Richter Award Watch List on Tuesday, Feb. 2 as the Hockey Commissioners’ Association (HCA) revealed the initial list of 35 names up for the Richter Award, given annually to the top goaltender in Division I men’s NCAA :

A committee of voters, made up of coaches, administrators, scouts and media, will pare the Watch List down to approximately 15 names. From those names, the committee will then choose a winner, who will be announced in April during the NCAA Frozen Four.

The NCHC is home to two previous Mike Richter Award winners in former North Dakota goalie Zane McIntyre in 2015 and former Denver netminder Tanner Jaillet in 2017.
