Overtime wins and losses appear in both the W and L columns, as well as the OTW and OTL columns in a team’s conference record. Shootouts will only occur if a conference game remains tied after the lone overtime, which is now 3-on-3, with the shootout winner earning two points and the loser getting one point, the same as an overtime win and loss. THIS WEEK’S GAMES NCHC NEWS & NOTES FULL SLATE: For only the second time this season, all eight NCHC teams Friday, Feb. 12 will play two games on the same weekend this weekend (Feb. 12-13), with *No. 4/4 Minnesota Duluth at Western Michigan, 6:05 p.m. ET this being the first weekend all year where there are four NCHC games on *No. 6/7 St. Cloud State at Miami, 7:05 p.m. ET Friday and four games on Saturday. The other weekend that saw all eight *Colorado College at No. 10/10 Omaha, 7:07 p.m. CT teams play two-game series was Jan. 22-24, when there was one game *Denver at No. 2/1 North Dakota, 7:37 p.m. CT (TV: MidcoSN) Friday, four games Saturday and three games Sunday. Saturday, Feb. 13 *No. 4/4 Minnesota Duluth at Western Michigan, 4:05 p.m. ET FAMILIAR FOES: Of the four series this weekend, the West Division series *No. 6/7 St. Cloud State at Miami, 5:05 p.m. ET will mark the fifth and sixth meetings between the teams this season, *Colorado College at No. 10/10 Omaha, 6:07 p.m. CT while in the East Division it will only be the third and fourth match-ups of *Denver at No. 2/1 North Dakota, 6:07 p.m. CT (TV: MidcoSN/Altitude) the year. No. 10/10 Omaha hosts Colorado College, having gone 4-0-0 against the Tigers so far this season. Rivals Denver and No. 2/1 North Dakota have split their four games, going 2-2-0, with one of UND’s wins LAST WEEK’S RESULTS coming in overtime in the NCHC Pod. Friday, Feb. 5 In the East Division, the road team swept the team it travels to earlier *at No. 5/6 Minnesota Duluth 8, Miami 1 this season. No. 4/4 Minnesota Duluth took two from Western Michigan *at No. 4/5 St. Cloud State 5, Western Michigan 1 back on Jan. 23-24 in Duluth by a combined score of 9-2, while No. 6/7 *at Denver 3, No. 9/10 Omaha 1 St. Cloud State swept Miami on Jan. 22-23 in St. Cloud by a combined score of 11-4. Those teams face off in Kalamazoo, Mich. and Oxford, Ohio, Saturday, Feb. 6 respectively, this weekend. *at No. 5/6 Minnesota Duluth 3, Miami 1 *Western Michigan 5, at No. 4/5 St. Cloud State 4 (OT) FROZEN FACEOFF’S TEMPORARY NEW HOME: The NCHC announced *No. 9/10 Omaha 5, at Denver 4 (OT) on Monday it is changing the 2021 NCHC Tournament location, format and dates, as the entire tournament will now take place from March 12- 16 in Grand Forks, N.D., with the tournament all single elimination. The *Conference game University of North Dakota’s Ralph Engelstad Arena will host the entire Frozen Faceoff, with quarterfinals on March 12-13, semifinals on March 15 and the championship on March 16. (bracket on page 13) NCHC.tv All of this weekend’s games can be watched on the NCHC’s digital POLL POSITIONS: North Dakota returned to the top spot in the USA network, NCHC.tv.
