GENERAL SUMMARY:

The Activities Director is responsible for coordinating all school co-curricular activities between the administration, staff, students, and the community. The activities include: athletic events, clubs and organizations, student government, budget and finance, assemblies and rallies, school facilities usage, personnel and payroll responsibilities.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities: (Reports directly to Principal)

A. Student Personnel 1. Organizes, supervises and oversees all aspects of the student activity program. 2. Organizes and supervises the prom 3. Oversees and schedules all extra-curricular activity fundraisers 4. Plans and organizes school assemblies, rallies, and playoffs. 5. Organizes freshman integration/orientation activities. 6. Coordinates ASB elections and supervises the student government program.

B. Financial Management 1. Develops and supervises the ASB budget. 2. Supervise all student body financial transactions, purchase orders, requisitions, and reimbursements. 3. Negotiates and manages various contracts for the student body.

C. Supervision 1. Assigns and supervises administration and faculty chaperoning of student activities (i.e. athletic events, dances, etc.) 2. Assigns police security for extra-curricular events.

Organizes and supervises school dances, including hiring of DJs. 4. Organizes and supervises ASB elections. 5. Coordinates the selling of student body card and yearbooks. 6. Assists with organization of student registration. 7. Coordinates commencement and supervises the distribution of student announcements, caps and gowns. 8. Assists with hiring and certification of off-campus coaches.

D. Community-School Relations 1. Coordinates and maintains the school activity master schedule. 2. Coordinates and assists student camp counselor programs. 3. Coordinates the use of school facilities by the school and community. 4. Administrative point person to the Grad Night Committee. 5. Coordinates student visits to feeder schools. 6. Administrative contact for military recruiters and responsible for the scheduling of recruiters visiting campus.

E. Other Responsibilities 1. Coordinate and manage the football stadium. 2. Assist with campus supervision during passing period, lunch, and after school. 3. Assists with Senior Awards Night, Eighth Grade Parent Night, and Honor’s Reception and other school-related functions. 4. Teaches leadership class.
