The American Pop artist Jeff Koons designed Lady Gaga’s 4th CD album “ARTPOP”. He chose my work of illusion multiple shapes as a design on this CD, which can be said as ‘an exceedingly rare’ case in history of illusion study. Besides that, you can see the sense of Koons’ humor inlaid. Here, you can see a kind of transparent blue ball in front of the crotch of Gaga (work of Koons). It says ‘ARTPOP’. This implies the parodied meanings of POP ART. Speaking of pop art works, Andy Warhola and Roy Lichtenstein and are famous; also Richard Hamilton’s work "Just what is it that makes today's homes so different, so appealing? (Produced in 1956) is important in pop art history. A picture of a big candy package illustrated POP (lollipop: this is a licking candy) held by mucho Muscles man. There is a saying that the trend picture of what we call as ‘pop art’ has started from this illustration. (Materials such as magazines, advertisements, Manga, news photography, to express the theme of mass production and mass consumption of modern society). While on the other hand, there is another saying that ‘pop art’ came from POPULAR art theory. When you compare the two pictures, you can see that the design of Gaga’s CD has become a homage (tribute) of the work for Hamilton. It also shows the cult of pop art maniacally. It is also worth noting that illusion works are ‘invited’ to the world of art, and it is my pleasure to see that visual illusions are now one of ‘frequently recognized’ things.
