2019-20 UTAH WOMEN’S BASKETBALL UTAHUTES.COM GAME 8: UTAH vs. ORAL ROBERTS GAME NOTES HEAD COACH LYNNE ROBERTS Record at Utah: 76-57 (5th Season) Career Record: 297-232 Alma Mater: Seattle Pacific (bachelor’s degree in history in 1997; Master’s in administration in 2000) As she enters her fifth season with the Utes in 2019-20, Roberts has made it clear that “it is time for us to pivot to being great.”

• In her four years in Salt Lake City, the Utes have appeared in the postseason in three of her four seasons and have had three 18+ win seasons, including Utah’s first 20-win season since 2012-13. • After receiving votes in the AP and coaches polls in her first three seasons, the Utes jumped into the Top 25 for the first time in a decade in 2018-19, ranking as high as No. 14. • Heading into the 2019-20 season after receiving a contract extension through 2023, the Redding, Calif., native holds a 76-57 record at Utah and is 297-232 in her 17 years as a head coach. She enters her 18th season as a head coach after spending nine seasons at Pacific and four years at Chico State. • In her four seasons at Utah, she has seen four athletes join the 1,000-point club, including Megan Huff, who did it in just two seasons, becoming just the third player in program history to achieve the feat. She also has watched three school records fall and coaches multiple athletes to top-10 all-time rankings in program and Pac-12 history, including seeing the Utes break the school record for three-pointers made in 2018-19 (239). • During her time at Utah, the Utes have had 12 All-Pac-12 selections and 18 Pac-12 All-Academic selections, adding in Utah’s first player of the year award in 2019 after winning Pac- 12 Freshman of the Year. In her career, she has helped 36 total athletes to all-conference selections as a head coach. • In 2018-19, Roberts saw Utah’s program rise to new heights, claiming its first 20-win season since taking over the program in 2015-16. She also led the program to nine wins in Pac-12 play, the most since joining the conference in 2011. Roberts also had her first player as Utah’s head coach drafted into the WNBA after Megan Huff was chosen in the third round to the New York Liberty. • Last season, she also had three players earn spots on the Pac-12 All-Freshman team with the Utes earning the Pac-12 Freshman of the Year award, the first Pac-12 player of the year award that the Utes have received since joining the conference. • As a team, the Utes finished the season ranked in the top-25 nationally in assist/turnover ratio, assists per game, fewest fouls, field goal percentage, free throw percentage and three-point percentage. The Utes came away with multiple big wins as a program, including a sweep of the Bay Area teams in the Pac-12. YEAR-BY-YEAR RECORD Year School Overall Conf.
