Putumayo recordings (Putumayo.com) are not part of iTunes. Guidelines for helping students play along with recordings • You must have a reasonably powerful sound system — playing drums with a small sound system won’t work. • Teach students to play softly; they must follow the recording, not the other way ‘round. • Begin by having students find the beat and meter of the recording: then start with air drumming their parts. • Stop drumming during breaks in the recording; then bring them back in.
