The new Allied Health Hub is available now at www.caresearch.com.au SITUATION VACANT -5 positions Warrnambool Exciting Opportunity for you to join our newly established therapeutic counselling service across South West Victoria PILOT PROJECT – 8 MONTH CONTRACTS Right Path is a Consortium of three agencies; Western Regional Alcohol and Drug Centre (WRAD), Glenelg Southern Grampians Drug Treatment Service (GSGDTS) and Colac Area Health. Right Path’s Therapeutic Counselling program is a community-based treatment program that provides a range of clinical counselling and support interventions to reduce drug use and related harm, and maintain therapeutic change. The service is for individuals and their family members/significant others, who are affected by severe alcohol and drug use problems and any co-occurring mental health conditions and other complicating issues. We are seeking: 1 full-time registered psychologist, 3 Clinicians and 1 Team Leader for this new South West Victoria region project. Application close at 5pm on Friday 4th October, 2013 SITUATION VACANT – Youth Outreach Worker Warrnambool The Western Region Alcohol and Drug Centre have a vacancy for an Alcohol and Drug Clinician to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team providing a broad range of services for young people throughout the South West. The Assertive Youth Outreach Worker will work with young people who are at risk due to their alcohol and drug use KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: To offer counselling to young people, their families and groups who have or are concerned about a drug problem To liaise with local health and welfare networks and also schools. i) To initiate and develop links with education, community and welfare organisations to provide information for young people. ii) To offer consultancy to outside agencies and people. iii) To provide input and follow up between the WRAD Centre and Family and Youth Services. QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE: A relevant tertiary qualification. Certificate IV Community Service (Alcohol & other Drugs) or equivalent. If you do not have certificate IV Alcohol and Drug training can be arranged as part of your employment conditions. An attractive salary is available for this position and will be based on the skills and experience of the successful applicant.
