You’ve taken your ﬁrst step into a lar er world Begin

It’s called a Printed Circuit Board or PCB

3 Turn over the PCB and slot in both batteries battery

Make sure they are the ri ht way round

It’s made of sensors, LEDs, microprocessors, resistors and tracers

5 Each sensor has two lenses. The top lens sends out an infrared beam

Infrared is a type of li ht invisible to humans

6 When your hand breaks the beam, it ets reﬂected back to the bottom lens reflected

so the sensor can see where your hand is

7 All four sensors work to ether to tell if your hand is oin … movement

up, down, forwards, backwards, left, ri ht, or tiltin

8 Time to add some control control

Push the power button onto the PCB

9 Make sure it is snu FIT

10 Now place the PCB into the bottom case CASE

Line up the button with the roove in the base

11 Gently push the PCB into the base BASE

RROOAARRGGHH!

12 Take the top case light ring

and push the li ht rin into it

13 Make sure it’s pushed in all the way reinforce

14 Take the top case with the li ht rin ALMOST THERE

Push it onto the bottom case

15 Until it clicks CONNECT
