    CHRONICLE OF IMPORTANT EVENTS IN MILITARY ENGINEERING IN INDIA Although M ilitary Engineering was well known in ancient, medieval and pre-British India, as evidenced by the innumerable constructions such as forts and moats all over the country, the chronology of these developments has not been established.
