DEPECHE MODE TO BRING THEIR ‘GLOBAL SPIRIT TOUR’ TO LATIN AMERICA IN MARCH 2018 – Following European and North American Tour, Depeche Mode to Play Stadiums in Mexico, Colombia, Peru, Chile, Argentina, and Brazil – BEVERLY HILLS, CA (Mar. 22, 2017) – For the first time in nine years, Depeche Mode will tour Latin America, bringing their stunning live show to fans who have not seen the band since 2009’s Tour of the Universe. “We’re incredibly excited to return to Latin America”, says lead singer Dave Gahan. “We weren’t able to see our fans there on the last tour, so we knew we had to visit this time.” Following this summer’s massive European summer stadium tour and the upcoming fall tour of North America, the band will continue to extend the Global Spirit Tour with two weeks of stadium shows across Latin America in March 2018. The tour will begin on March 11th in Mexico City, continue through Bogota, Lima, Santiago and Buenos Aires, before wrapping up in Sao Paulo on March 27th. And, a Nobody who saw Depeche Mode in could have predicted that those four fresh-faced, synth-pop innocents would transform themselves into stadium-filling rock gods within a few years. And, after three decades together, the group continues to thrive, both critically and commercially. From a tiny nightclub residency in their native Essex to facing tens of thousands in huge stadiums in Europe and America in the mid Just Cant Get Enough: The Making of Depeche Mode, Spence examines a musical journey that took the band from early 'ultra-pop' hit singles to the stark Black Celebration album. Hailing from Basildon, an experimental post-war New Town, the all-electronic Depeche Mode were, in the words of singer Dave Gahan, a "new sort of band from a new sort of town".

DEPECHE MODE’S GLOBAL SPIRIT TOUR TO RETURN TO UK AND IRELAND IN NOVEMBER 2017 After European and North American Tours, Depeche Mode to Return for Four Arena Shows in UK and Ireland June 5, 2017 – Following an incredible, sold-out homecoming show on Saturday night at London Stadium, Depeche Mode are excited to announce that they will return to the UK and Ireland for four indoor shows in November of 2017. The tour of Ireland and the UK will kick off November 15 at Dublin’s 3Arena before continuing to Manchester, Birmingham and London. November 15 Dublin, Ireland 3Arena November 17 Manchester, UK Manchester Arena November 19 Birmingham, UK Barclaycard Arena November 22 London, UK O2 Arena Saturday night’s sold-out show in London that saw the band play to over 68,000 people served as a triumphant return to the UK following an exceptionally intimate performance in March at Glasgow’s Barrowlands Ballroom as part of the BBC’s 6Music Festival. While the London Stadium show was the only UK stop on this summer’s stadium leg of the Global Spirit Tour, these new fall dates will give the band the opportunity to play to fans elsewhere in the UK and for fans to see the tour that critics have hailed as a “sensational triumph” and the band Mixmag describes as “apocalyptically thrilling on the live stage.” The summer European leg of the Live Nation-produced Global Spirit Tour has brought the band to sold-out stadiums across Eastern and Western Europe since the first show in Stockholm on May 5, with shows continuing through July 23.

DVD Review: Depeche Mode - The Dark Progression | Lair of the Gree... http://writer.fitzhome.com/music/dvd-review-depeche-mode-the-dark-pro... DVD Review: Depeche Mode - The Dark Progression Posted by fitz in Documentary, Music on Jun 29 If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed. Thanks for visiting! Hi all… When I went to college in the late 1980s, I was introduced to the music Depeche Mode (DM). There was a guy on my dorm floor who listened to DM 24-7 at an earth-shaking volume. I didn’t immediately take to their music. But after a couple of years, Violator was released and somehow the world changed. Violator connected with some dark part of my being I didn’t really know I had up to that point. Violator was the beginning of my love for DM. Though the media went crazy for “Personal Jesus,” I was drawn to “Enjoy the Silence,” “Policy of Truth,” and “Clean”. From then on, when a new DM album was released, I’d pick it up after a couple of months and digest it… Songs of Faith and Devotion and Ultra also rang true with me with songs such as “Walking in My Shoes” and “Home”. Exciter didn’t do much for me and I think I purchased one track from Playing the Angel, so my love for new DM music faded a bit early in this decade. However, the recent release of Sounds of the Universe has me flying high again with songs like “In Chains,” “Wrong,” and “Peace.” Suffice it to say, I’m a DM fan.
