  • Game #14 – Thursday, April 8Th, 2021 @ 6:00Pm - Brandt Centre, Regina, SK
Game #14 – Thursday, April 8th, 2021 @ 6:00Pm - Brandt cEntre, Regina, SK Prince Albert Raiders (4-7-1-1 – 10pts) Saskatoon Blades (9-2-2-0 – 20pts) 6th – East Division 9th – Eastern Conference 2nd – East Division 3rd – Eastern Conference PP – 8/53 (15.1% - 18th in WHL) PP – 9/48 (18.8% - 12th in WHL) PK – 43/60 (71.7% - 17th in WHL) PK – 42/48 (87.5% - 5th in WHL) Tonight… The Saskatoon Blades look to reignite their scoring touch as they welcome the Prince Albert Raiders into the Brandt Centre. After winning seven consecutive matches, the Blades have lost three straight, while the Prince Albert Raiders return to the rink after dropping a gritty 3-2 decision to the Brandon Wheat Kings. Over their recent slump, Saskatoon has mustered just three goals — one of which on the powerplay — which is a stark contrast to their output throughout the month of March averaging 4.3 goals per game. This is the third of four meetings between the two provincial rivals, with the Blades earning two hard-fought victories on March 29th (4-0) and March 19th (3-1). Despite the Raiders record, Saskatoon should expect a difficult team to play against. Prince Albert tested the first-place Brandon Wheat Kings on Monday night, narrowly falling 3-2, and come into this one fresh off two days’ rest. Tale of the tape… There’s never a shortage of drama between these two rivals, and the last meeting was certainly no exception. Blades captain Chase Wouters was handed a three-game suspension for cross-checking Raiders star Ozzy Wiesblatt late in the game, and defenceman Rhett Rhinehart served a two-game suspension for supplemental discipline.

  • It's WHL Jersey Contest Time!
It’s WHL Jersey Contest time! Next May one of your clients could be heading on an all-expenses-paid trip for two to Red Deer, Alberta, to attend two games of the MasterCard Memorial Cup. The Western Hockey League jersey contest will be back in participating brokerages in western Canada this winter. Purchase and award a WHL jersey as a prize, and your jersey winner will be eligible for the province-wide draw for the trip to Red Deer. One trip for two will be awarded in each of the four western provinces. Red Deer’s party preparations have already begun. The 2016 event will be the first MasterCard Memorial Cup in Alberta in more than 40 years. It will mark the 25th anniversary of the Red Deer Rebels franchise, the 50th anniversary of the Western Hockey League, and the 98th year that the prestigious Canadian Hockey League championship has been held. The jersey contest is just one component of the western broker associations’ WHL sponsorship, which also includes: . The Insurance Goal of the Game – During WHL regular-season games, insurance goals are announced to fans as “Brought to you by the insurance brokers of western Canada.” Scoring highlights are updated weekly on www.whl.ca. The Player Safety Program – Thanks to additional support from Wawanesa Insurance, brokers are also sponsoring an equipment-safety manual and series of training videos. You can pass these training aids on to coaches and parents in your community. How to participate: 1) Purchase an official jersey of your favourite WHL team (order form on reverse).
