It’s WHL Jersey Contest time!

Next May one of your clients could be heading on an all-expenses-paid trip for two to Red Deer, Alberta, to attend two games of the MasterCard Memorial Cup.

The Western Hockey League jersey contest will be back in participating brokerages in western Canada this winter. Purchase and award a WHL jersey as a prize, and your jersey winner will be eligible for the province-wide draw for the trip to Red Deer. One trip for two will be awarded in each of the four western provinces.

Red Deer’s party preparations have already begun. The 2016 event will be the first MasterCard Memorial Cup in Alberta in more than 40 years. It will mark the 25th anniversary of the Red Deer Rebels franchise, the 50th anniversary of the Western Hockey League, and the 98th year that the prestigious Canadian Hockey League championship has been held.

The jersey contest is just one component of the western broker associations’ WHL sponsorship, which also includes: . The Insurance Goal of the Game – During WHL regular-season games, insurance goals are announced to fans as “Brought to you by the insurance brokers of western Canada.” Scoring highlights are updated weekly on www.whl.ca. . The Player Safety Program – Thanks to additional support from Wawanesa Insurance, brokers are also sponsoring an equipment-safety manual and series of training videos. You can pass these training aids on to coaches and parents in your community.

How to participate: 1) Purchase an official jersey of your favourite WHL team (order form on reverse). 2) Display it in your office February through April and invite your customers to enter to win it.
