THE GOLDBERGS (Wednesdays, 8:00-8:30 p.m. ET/PT) Season Premieres Wednesday, Oct. 21, 2020

The Goldbergs are back! Our iconic ‘80s family returns for what is sure to be an epic and legendary eighth season. The gang’s all here, and they’re rowdier, funnier and more heartfelt than ever before. Jam-packed with hi-jinks, hilarity and heart, our favorite Jenkintown family navigates a classic decade with fresh, new adventures. As each of our cherished family members continues to grow and mature, one thing will always be the same: No matter the challenges life throws at them, as long as the Goldbergs stick together, there’s nothing they can’t handle.

After sending two of their three kids off to college and enjoying a partially empty nest last year, Beverly and Murray are still adjusting to a quieter house. O.G. Smother Beverly, fresh off publishing her first cookbook, is hungry for her next step. She’s ready to explore new territory, both personally and professionally. Murray, despite being as curmudgeonly as ever, will have to navigate a new business partnership with his former rival, Formica Mike.

As for the kids, Erica and Barry are entering their sophomore year at college. Erica continues to crush her classes but will ultimately face a challenge in having to pick a major. Barry, on the other hand, is ready to make good on his doctor-ing promises and start his path to being pre-med. Of course, he’ll have to do it while juggling both the JTP and his new girlfriend, Ren. As for Adam, he’s finally a senior -- and his relationship with the coolest girl in school, Brea Bee, has brought him newfound popularity, which, for a geeky kid, can be super confusing. Meanwhile, after an aimless gap year, it’s finally time for Erica’s lovable goof of a boyfriend, Geoff Schwartz, to enroll as a freshman. Naturally, this means he’ll be officially experiencing all campus has to offer -- including a few attempts to reinvent himself.

As always, completing our Goldberg brood is beloved grandfather Al “Pops” Solomon. Like every year, Pops maintains his perch as the wise, revered patriarch of the Goldberg crew. Always the dependable one, Pops is ready to dispense wisdom, warmth, and a good one-liner to anyone in his family who may need it.

“The Goldbergs” stars Wendi McLendon-Covey (“Bridesmaids”) as Beverly Goldberg, (“Ratatouille”) as adult Adam Goldberg, Sean Giambrone as Adam Goldberg, Troy Gentile (“Good Luck Chuck”) as Barry Goldberg, (“The X Factor”) as Erica Goldberg, Sam Lerner as Geoff Schwartz, with (“Just Shoot Me”) as Al “Pops” Solomon and (“Curb Your Enthusiasm”) as Murray Goldberg.

Adam F. Goldberg, Doug Robinson, Alex Barnow, Chris Bishop, Annette Davis, Mike Sikowitz, Bill Callahan, David Guarascio and Annie Mebane are executive producers. “The Goldbergs” is produced by Happy Madison, Doug Robinson Productions and Adam F. Goldberg Productions, in association with Sony Pictures Television.
