Invited Speakers Location: The conference will take place in the Sciences Faculty of the University of Palermo, Italy. The Sciences Faculty is located P. Degano () G.F. Italiano (University of Rome Tor Vergata) next to the Botanical Garden of the University of Palermo. Scope: The Italian Conference on Theoretical Computer Science Program Committee (ICTCS) is the conference of the Italian Chapter of the European T. Calamoneri (Sapienza University of Rome) Association for Theoretical Computer Science. ICTCS 2013 is the G. Castiglione (University of Palermo) fourteenth Italian Conference on Theoretical Computer Science P. Crescenzi () and will be held in Palermo, Italy, September 9-11, at University M. Dezani () of Palermo. The Conference, besides being a forum of exchange R. Grossi (University of Pisa) of ideas, provides the ideal environment where junior researchers S. Mantaci (University of Palermo, co-chair) S. Martini () and Ph.D. students meet senior researchers. ICTCS 2013 is also P. Massazza () open to researchers from outside Italy, who are welcome to submit E. Moggi () papers and attend the Conference. A. Restivo (University of Palermo) M. Sciortino (University of Palermo, co-chair) Submissions: Contributions in any area of Theoretical Computer U. Vaccaro () Science are sought. These contributions include: original papers, to be submitted to a post-conference special issue; original papers Organizing Committee submitted or accepted to other conferences or journals, to be G. Castiglione (University of Palermo) publicized at ICTCS; work in progress, on which the authors wish C. Epifanio (University of Palermo) to get feedback at ICTCS. G. Fici (University of Palermo) Typical but not exclusive topics of interest include: algorithms, S. Mantaci (University of Palermo) G. Rosone (University of Palermo) algorithmic game theory, automata theory, complexity theory, M. Sciortino (University of Palermo) concurrency, cryptography, formal methods, languages, logics, M.E. Tabacchi (University of Palermo) quantum computing, security, semantics, system biology, types, distributed computing.

Important Dates The authors should submit an extended abstract not exceeding 6 pages in LNCS LATEX style. A clearly marked appendix to be Papers submission 24 May 2013 read at the discretion of the program committee may be added. 31 May 2013 Simultaneous submission of papers to other conferences or the Notification of acceptance 25 June 2013 submission of previously published papers is allowed. Final version 16 July 2013 Only EasyChair electronic submissions in .pdf format are accepted (https://www.easychair.org/conferences/?conf=ictcs2013). Early Registration 25 July 2013 Late Registration 31 Aug. 2013 Proceedings and Special Issue: Electronic proceedings with the Conference 9–11 Sep. 2013 accepted papers will be distributed to participants. A special issue of an international journal devoted to selected papers presented at ICTCS 2013 is planned.

Awards: During the Conference, a ceremony will be held in order to give the two “Best Ph.D. Thesis in Theoretical Computer Science Award 2013”, and the “Young Researcher in Theoretical Computer Science Award 2013”.
