A second survey of 18 networks sought to gather indepth information on network operation. Results showed that 22.2 percent of the stations surveyed were participating in program cooperatives, and over 79 percent felt that network participation would be beneficial. It was concluded that the cooperative program tape network should continue in order to fulfill specialized programing needs. The gathering, held in the Memorial Union’s Brostrom Lounge, attracted about 250 faculty, staff, students and friends of the uni- versity. A long line of well wishers waited their turn to shake hands and say a few words of thanks to the Chapmans. President Chapman joined NDSU as its 13th president in June 1999, and a decade of growth ensued, including 10 consecutive years of enrollment records and increases in graduate programs and research expenditures. Chapman will leave campus Nov. 30. Student body president Amber Altstadt and vice president Andy Schlicksup served as masters of ceremonies for the event’s program, which included several speakers who emphasized the institution’s transformation into a national research university.     NDSCS Wahpeton DISASTER EMERGENCY PLAN for WINTER STORMS When blizzard conditions exists, and or when the National Weather Service announces a winter storm warning, that is verified by local law enforcement, the college will follow these procedures. I The President or designee will review conditions with Campus Police and other local law enforcement. The President or designee will act on the following conditions: A) Closure- means the college has closed all offices, classes and activities. Designated Emergency Personnel will report for work. Closure will be announced over ENS (emergency notification system), designated radio, TV stations and newspaper internet site. If conditions allow adequate time for deciding to close, notifications will be at 5:00 a.m. or before. Subsequent announcements may be made as conditions dictate. B) Cancellation - means regular classes and night classes are canceled due to inclement weather conditions, however offices will be open & employees will report for work.
