ANNUAL 20 REPORT 16

FROM OUR CHAIR & CEO Dear friends,

We are happy to share with you Artscape’s annual report for 2016. It was a year of tremendous momentum and change for us with abundant activity happening in our existing projects and construction beginning on four new ones. Over $4.2 million in combined savings on occupancy costs and event rentals for Artscape tenants, owners and clients were generated through our properties. Additionally, at least half a million (457,600) people came through our doors to attend events and activities.

In addition to our regular activities, Artscape embarked on two special projects. The first was a collaboration with the United Nations and more than 20 local partners to build empathy and support for refugees and resettlement throughThe Sidra Project. The second involved helping to incubate an extraordinary creative placemaking project called,, which has the potential to do for what the High Line has done for New York.

Artscape is a not-for- As you peruse the highlights of our projects, programs, exhibitions and events profiled in this report, you should know that virtually all of them have happened through partnership and profit urban development collaboration.
