In 1981, Dennis Norton and a small group ARGUS: EYES FOR VICTORY 10 of friends established the Yankee Air Museum with the intent to preserve historic airplanes. Unfortunately, in 2004, the Museum and several of its historic aircraft were lost in a devastating fire. Through the sheer determination of its founders WINGS & WHEELS 11 and volunteers, the Museum was rebuilt and has continued to thrive. Levine will share this exciting story and highlight the Museum's current efforts to build a new home at the former Willow Run Bomber Plant, preserve historic aircraft and share the excitement of aviation. Signed books will be available for purchase at the presentation. T.O.M. Yankee Air Museum organizes several events that are highly supported: Historic Presentation Nights, American Bistro Night, Wings & Wheels, Thunder Over Michigan and many more. We would love your help above and beyond these events, especially as we need to build a permanent home for our historic flyable aircraft by December of 2019. How can you get involved with Yankee Air Museum fundraising? The Holidays: 33% of all donations are made during the holiday season. Your donation during this season helps us throughout the entire year! Birthday: In lieu of gifts, why not ask for donations instead? Make this year special and celebrate your birthday by supporting a cause close to your heart. Events: Recruit your friends and sell tickets to concerts, golf tournaments, races, socials and more! Sports: Whether you’re running a marathon, skydiving for the first time, or anything in between, use your next sporting opportunity to raise funds & awareness for our cause. In Honor Of: Celebrate the memory of someone you love by raising money in their name is a great way to keep their memory alive. Be Creative: Grow a mustache, shave your head, play a video game, dance all day! Do your thing, just do it for Yankee Air Museum. Go ahead. Get creative! It’s thinking outside of the box that will help us close our gap in funding. We are building a museum of the future, we are evolving into the National Museum of Aviation and Technology at Historic Willow Run and we cannot do this alone. This is a community effort and with your supportWE CAN DO IT. If you are interested in learning about the investment and planning tools that are available to you, and how you can help support the Museum for years to come please call Elisa Guyton, 734-483-4030, x227 or email Elisa at [email protected] YANKEE AIR FORCE, INC.
