1. What is Achieving Dreams mission? Our mission is to in- crease the ability of youth and adults to grow and succeed in our community by providing funding for their participation in organized ac- tivities that engage in the positive building of self-esteem, personal development, artistic inspiration and/or education.

What do we do as an organization to achieve our mission? To finance our mission, Achieving Dreams fundraises by contracting to staff volunteers in the concession stands at four fabulous venues. 1. –Twins 2. US Bank Stadium- Vikings Stadium 3. Target Center - Timberwolves 4. TCF Stadium– Gophers Stadium

2. How do I get started?

1. Register on www.achievingdreamsmn.org. Fill in your personal in- formation, sign the 2 required forms and hit submit. Please be sure your email and phone number are accurate.

2. Once registered you will receive a code to use on the event page. This is password protected and only intended for those who are regis- tered. The code is on the bottom of the registration page. The event page is where you will sign up for the events you would like to volun- teer.

3. Look for training requirements for the venue you plan to volunteer. After you have attended training, you are ready to register for dates and venues. It is recommended that you look at the website www.achievingdreamsmn.org for dates and times with your calendar.

4. Please note: There is a $10 annual Program service fee per person

ONCE YOU HAVE ATTENDED any required TRAINING, it is time to SIGN UP FOR EVENTS. The location and times to report will be listed for each event. Go to the events tab to begin choos- ing the events you are available for. You will need the code that was given to you after you registered.

You will get a confirmation email for each event you sign up to volunteer at. This email will have a link which will allow you to add to your electronic calendar if you choose. If you need to cancel for any reason you can use the cancel button in the email.

GATE LIST: (document posted for each event to show stand as- signments and arrival times). After you have registered, approximate- ly 5 days before you are scheduled to volunteer you can see what your assignment is by choosing the registration drop down tab at the top of the Home page then click the “Gatelist” Click on the PDF for the date you chose to volunteer to see a listing of all of the volunteers for that event. The gate list sometimes changes, so please make sure to always double check the night before your event to confirm.

Please do not sign up if you aren't sure you can be there. There is $100 charge for not showing up, if you have registered and are on the gatelist. It is very important that you check this! If you signed up to volunteer at a venue but cannot help out on the date you have regis- tered for you must email Holly immediately ([email protected]) and cancel by using the cancel button on your register confirmation email.

3. Locations, Training and Age Restrictions

Target Field - Twins – operated by Del- aware North Sports Services (DNC) has mandatory training each year. In person training must be completed prior to volunteering at Target Field. Once you do the in person training, the following year an online refresher is available. You must be 18 to work at this venues.

US Bank Stadium – Vikings-National Football League is oper- ated by Aramark- concerts, other events must be 16+. Aramark has mandatory TEAMS training throughout the year for adults 18+ which is good for 3 years.

Target Center - Timberwolves–National Basketball League As- sociation operated by Levy has mandatory training each year. This training is completed online, they also require a back ground check which can be completed online

TCF Stadium – Gophers- College Football Concessions plus concerts, and other events operated by Aramark. You must be 16+. Aramark has mandatory TEAMS training throughout the year for adults 18+ which is good for 3 years.

4. What to wear and where to go:

What to Wear

Target Field – Black Pants/Shorts - Pants must be dress pants no leggings, denim, wind pants. Shorts must be no shorter than 1 inch above the knee. White T shirt and closed toe shoes preferably black. Hat which are given to you the first time you volunteer and bring with you each time. Achieving Dreams will be charged for the hat and in turn we have you pay for them.

Target Center - Black Pants - Pants must be dress pants no leg- gings, denim, wind pants. Black T- shirt, and closed toe shoes preferably black. Hat and apron are provided the first day you volunteer and you must bring each time you volunteer. Pick up your hat and apron at the sign in desk down stairs in the dock area,

TCF Stadium - Black Pants - Pants must be dress pants no leg- gings, denim, wind pants. black shirt and closed toe shoes prefer- ably black.

US Bank Stadium - Black Pants - Pants must be dress pants no leggings, denim, wind pants. White T- shirt and closed toe shoes preferably black. Sign in at the top of the ramp then go to stand B121 (My Local Bear Port) in front of the Andrew Zimmerman stand to pick up your uniform)

How to get to and into the Venue’s:

On the website www.achievingdreamsmn.org, venues tab shows all websites and addresses. This information will also be on the gate lists.

Follow the directions below in how to enter the stadium.

IT IS VERY IMPORTANT THAT YOU SIGN IN WITH THE STADIUM BEFORE YOU GO TO YOUR AS- SIGNED STAND. IF YOU DO NOT SIGN IN WITH THE STADIUM ACHIEVING DREAMS WILL NOT GET A DONATION FOR YOUR WORK! Target Center: 600 N 1st Ave, , MN 55403

Employee entrance is located under Hubberts on N 6th street. You can also access from skyway elevator opposite the Jack Links wild side store .

Check in is located in across from the dock. Go through security check in and drop bags and coats off in the locker room. Bring your own lock. Continue down the hall to staff check in at end of the long hallway across from the loading dock, (do not get in line with Target Center staff). Check in at the desk and then report to your assigned stand. (FYI- ramp B is only $6.50). Uniforms (hats and aprons) will be collected from the check in desk at the loading dock before you go to your stand.

TCF Stadium: 420 SE 23rd Ave, Minneapolis, MN 55455 You enter the building via the door under the Murray County Block. Usually they give us a reduced parking pass of $6.00. It will be post- ed along with the gate list for the event at this stadium. Sign in at the desk just inside of murray door. Then report to stand. Uniforms can be found inside of the stand.

US Bank Stadium: 401 Chicago Ave, Minneapolis, MN 55415 Free parking for certain events. You must enter from back side of sta- dium. Go into the white tent, get a security card. Minors must have wrist band to show they cannot sell alcohol. Enter through TEAMS door, go up the ramp. Sign in at table, and get your parking validated. Go to Beer port B121 (across from the Andrew Zimmerman Stand) ate collect your Uniform then head to your assigned stand.

Target Field: 1 Twins Way, Minneapolis, MN 55403

You enter the Twins Stadium via the employee entrance at the inter- section of 7th Street and Twins Way. There is an employee entrance door located in the huge wooden vents slats (seen in the picture be- low). It is the size of a regular door. Once you enter you will go thru security and right behind the security desk is the check in desk. Then report to the floor manager at your assigned stand. GRANT PROCESS

Achieving Dreams provides grants for organized activities and educa- tion. This includes athletics, dance, band & choir fees, etc. as well as school tuition from Kindergarten to College. Grant information is on the website, achievingdreamsmn.org.

Achieving Dreams receives donations from the venues based on commission of stand sales, or a minimum donation per volunteer pro- vided. The commissions vary from event to event and venue to venue. Twins baseball games is $70, Vikings and Gophers is $80, Timberwolves basketball is $50.

Achieving Dreams receives most donations 45 to 60 days after the event. Donations are processed and funds are released to the grant pool for availability. .
