It is compiled with the intention of highlighting some of the more interesting services and programmes for the DXer and mediumwave listener. Many external services originate from high-power transmitters and offer a good opportunity to hear and identify more distant stations on mediumwave, especially as the use of clear ID's and familiar interval signal tunes often makes it easier to pick them out on a crowded channel. This guide will be regularly updated and more will be added in future. If you have any corrections, additions, comments or suggestions that will help inprove things, then they are more than welcome. There may be some unintentional errors that have crept in whilst compiling this first edition, so any help in getting these put right would also be greatly appreciated. Transmitter site: Zavidovići - 1 kW. ČRo 1 Plus is the spoken word channel and as part of its schedule it has two short news bulletins in English from Radio Prague. Transmitter sites (both on 1071 kHz): Ceské Budejovice - 5 kW, Ostrava-Svinov - 5 kW. Time/UTC Days Language kHz 2034-2039 Mon-Fri English 1071 2305-2310 Daily English 1071 Estonia Estonia - Radio Eli The mediumwave transmitter on 1035 kHz is owned by Tartu Pereraadio for broadcasts to Russia. It is used by Tartuiskoye Semeinoye Radio, operating under the name of Radio Eli. TWR has discontinued use of this transmitter for its broadcasts in Russian. Transmitter site: Tartu - 100 kW. Time/UTC Days Language kHz 0300-0900 Daily Russian 1035 1400-2300 Daily Russian 1035 Sergey Kolomiytsev reports that Radio Eli has a relay of Radio Teos daily at 2100-2200 and at 0500-0600 on Saturday and Sunday. Finland Finland - Scandinavian Weekend Radio Scandinavian Weekend Radio (SWR) transmitter site is located in the Virratcity, Upper Tampere Region, Liedenpohja village. The station broadcasts mainly on the first Saturday of every month for 24 hours of shortwave, mediumwave and FM starting 0001 local time, +2h (Summer +3h). The station offers an alternative for radio operations who are interested the opportunity to participate in private radio. The station is free of playlists and contributes to the radio hobby. Transmitter site: Virrat, Pirkanmaa, Finland (vir) - 0.4 kW. Dates (UTC) of operation for 2021: 2 April, 4 June, 2 July, 6 August, 8 October, 5 November and 3 December. This area was part of the former Moldavian SSR, and since the dissolution of the USSR has been claimed by the Republic of Moldova as the Administrative-Territorial Units of the Left Bank of the Dniester. The region is considered by the UN to be part of Moldova. Relays via the Pridnestrovskiy Radioteletsentr, Grigoriopol Pridnestrovskiy Radioteletsentr operates mediumwave transmitters for use by external broadcasting organisations. Vesti FM relay via Grigoriopol on 1413 kHz Vesti FM is a news radio service belonging to the All-Russia State Television and Radio Broadcasting Company. It is relayed on 1413 kHz for Russian-speaking audiences in Eastern Europe. Transmitter site: Grigoriopol, PMR (kch) - 500 kW. BELARUS: RELIGIOUS FREEDOM SURVEY, OCTOBER 20201 By Olga Glace, Forum 18 Belarus correspondent Before the UN Human Rights Council Universal Periodic Review (UPR) of Belarus on 2 November, Forum 18 notes continuing violations of freedom of religion and belief and of interlinked freedoms of expression, association, and assembly. These have worsened amid widespread continuing protests against falsified results of the August 2020 presidential election, and against the regime's other serious violations of the human rights of the people it rules. After the regime's falsification of the August 2020 presidential election results and violence against people taking part in the ongoing protests, public events to pray for Belarus and for violence by the regime to end have increased. The regime has increasingly used Administrative Code Article 23.34 ("Violation of the procedure for organizing or conducting a mass event or demonstration") against those taking part in public prayer events.

This log may First issued in August 2001, The PAL lists all known medium wave not reproduced or redistributed in whole or in part in any form, except with broadcasting stations in southern and eastern Asia and the Pacific.
