Objective The involvement of stakeholders aims to ensure the development of a really useful tool that must cover the needs of the textile industry when they handle nanomaterials in their manufacturing processes. 2. Methodology In order to disseminate the project and its outcomes towards a correct audience, a list of stakeholders and key actors is made available. In this list the audience is divided into 5 different groups. The message and its content can differ according to the type of stakeholders that is intended.     Descubrir El Vallès Occidental 1. Conocer El Vallès Occidental El Vallès es la denominación histórica del territorio situado, de oeste a este, entre el río Llobregat y el macizo de El Montseny, y de norte a sur entre las cordilleras Prelitoral y Litoral. A partir de la división territorial de Cataluña de 1936, el sector occidental de esta zona –aproximadamente entre el río Llobregat y la riera de Caldes– se denomina comarca de El Vallès Occidental. La comarca, situada en la parte central de la Región Metropolitana de Barcelona, limita con El Vallès Oriental, al noreste; con El Barcelonès, al sudeste; con El Baix Llobregat, al sudoeste; y con El Bages, al noroeste. Administrativamente, la comarca está formada por 23 municipios, dos de los cuales ejercen la capitalidad: Sabadell y Terrassa. No en vano, a medio camino entre las dos capitales, se encuentra la sede de El Consell Comarcal, órgano administrativo de gestión de la comarca, creado en 1987. La superficie comarcal es de 583,2 km2, lo que representa un 1,8% de la superficie total de Cataluña. No obstante, en este territorio relativamente pequeño se registraron 836.077 habitantes en el año 2006 (aproximadamente el 12% de la población catalana y casi el 2% de la población española) y es la segunda comarca más poblada de Cataluña, después de El Barcelonès. Montaña y plana Desde el punto de vista orográfico, en la comarca pueden diferenciarse tres zonas, de norte a sur: el sector montañoso de la cordillera Prelitoral, que conforma el tercio norte de la comarca; el sector de llanura ondulada en la parte central, que ocupa aproximadamente la mitad de la superficie comarcal; y un sector montañoso relativamente poco extenso que corresponde a una parte de la cordillera Litoral.

    Chapter 4 Mar Satorras David Saurí Hug March REINVENTING PUBLIC WATER AMID COVID-19 IN TERRASSA ovid-19 has come to intersect with water poverty, exacerbat- ing the impacts on vulnerable households. To address this, public entities and water companies have undertaken di!er- Cent actions in water provision. In Spain, the national government prohibited disconnecting households from energy (electricity, gas) and water. The government also proposed that unpaid bills be de- ferred with no interest. Most Spanish water companies followed these options, but some cities, such as Terrassa (part of metropol- itan Barcelona) made e!orts to guarantee water supply even for those lacking legal access to housing. Terrassa has recently munici- palized water services by creating a new public water operator (Tai- gua) and a citizen observatory (the Terrassa Water Observatory). Re- sponses made by Taigua during the initial lockdown were oriented towards ensuring that citizens did not su!er any interruptions. Fur- thermore, following the closure of public fountains for sanitary rea- sons, they also urged the installation of provisional meters to vul- nerable households without access to tap water. We argue that the Terrassa model of municipalization, and particularly the existence 61 Mar Satorras, David Saurí and Hug March of systems that facilitate citizen participation and social movement engagement, has played a critical role in shaping these ambitious and radical responses to the pandemic.     Manresa Vic Terrassa Sabadell L’Hospitalet PRESENTACIÓN La Memoria que presentamos trata de un año de transición. El año que cierra un contrato programa de dos años, 2007-2008, y que abre las puertas a la difícil y compleja nego- ciación de un nuevo contrato programa que, idealmente, debería ser por cuatro años. Con todo, no parece que las circunstancias de la economía y del financiamiento de las adminis- traciones públicas vayan a ayudar. Deberemos negociar fuerte y en profundidad y, aún así, se requerirá de mucha voluntad política para sacar las cuentas del sistema de transporte público del área de Barcelona de las limitaciones y de la precariedad con las que se mueve. No es mi intención minimizar las cifras actuales de las aportaciones de las administra- JOAQUIM NADAL FARRERAS ciones públicas. El volumen de dichas aportaciones es muy elevado pero, evidencia a su Consejero de Política Territorial vez, alguna de las contradicciones y las principales dificultades de un modelo altamente y Obras Públicas y Presidente de la Autoritat subvencionado, apreciado y acreditado en su conjunto, pero siempre cojo de cara a las del Transport Metropolità ampliaciones necesarias, y al incremento de la oferta y de la intermodalidad entre los diferentes sistemas de transporte. Las principales novedades que 2008 nos ofrece se refieren a la culminación de los objeti- vos planteados en el nuevo sistema tranviario, a la intensificación de la tarea inversora de la Generalitat en la mejora de la accesibilidad y el cumplimiento de la Ley de Supresión de Barreras Arquitectónicas, a la mejora constante de la flota de autobuses y de los trenes del sistema ferroviario y de metro, a la constante ampliación de la zona objeto de la integración tarifaria y la mejora de sus prestaciones, y a la continuidad de las grandes obras de am- pliación de la red de metro.
