New England Aztec – A History: 2006 Club News NOTE: This list represents any youth player who donned an Aztec youth jersey in the 2006-07 calendar years AND was named a high school All-Star in the fall of '06. Over 70 Aztecs Have All-Star Caliber High School Seasons Kerri Domohowski named EMass Div. 3 Player of the Year; Five Players named All-New England, 18 total players named EMass or higher All-Stars; Steve Ibanez (Danvers) NEC MVP, Barrie Lindsay (Ipswich/Waring) IGC MVP, Richie Green (Haverhill) MVC MVP, Keri Nobil (Lynnfield) CAL MVP; Ten Players make CAL All-League list The Aztec Soccer Club is proud to recognize the accomplishments of our Premier players who starred on the Massachusetts High School soccer stage this fall, in New Hampshire, and even one in North Carolina as well. In all, 71 Aztec players have thus far earned All-Star status for the fall of 2006. Five Aztecs were named MVP of their leagues. Danvers High Senior Steve Ibanez was named MVP of the Northeast Conference (NEC) in addition to being named an EMass All-Star, All-State and All-New England. While Jillian DiBenedetto was named MVP of the EIL after an All-Star season at Dana Hall, Barrie Lindsay of Ipswich and a Senior at the Waring School in Beverly was named MVP of the Independent Girls Council. Also, Richie Green of Haverhill was named MVP of the Merrimack Valley Conference, while Keri Nobil of Lynnfield was Cape Ann League (CAL) MVP. Kerri Domohowski of St. Mary's of Lynn was named EMass D3 Player of the Year, and 17 Aztecs have so far earned EMass (or higher) All-Star status with six All-State players (Domohowski, Green, Maggie Mahoney of Newburyport, Erin Quinlan of Austin Prep, Katy Lyn Verrette of Bishop Fenwick, Kirsten Lundquist of Masconomet) and five All-New England’s (Ibanez, Nobil, Domohowski, Lauren Guidi, Governor's Academy (ISL), Dana Bergstrom, Lexington Christian Academy (EIL) ).
